ALL NYC Public Schools go to "meatless mondays". Forced vegetarianism

I mentioned it because this is a thread about school lunches and providing‘children with what they need to be properly nourished during the school‘ day......or anywhere, for that matter? Not sure what you meany by "wrong reasons"...;)

If you're doing it because you, as you claim, you care, there is no reason to say that you do. Just do it and be happy for what you're doing.

It's simple. If I didn't get the pussy the kid came out of, the kid isn't my responsibility to feed.

IDIOT! So what! We had meatless FRIDAYS for all of my12 years in the 7 schools I went to, all but one was PUBLIC, and only a small segment of the students were CATHOLICS. I guess that was some sort of RELIGIOUS tyranny too? The Papist kind! OHHHH NO!

There are some really dumbass people on this board. Hell, the best complete protein there is is to serve the kids up a combination of rice and legumes (beans)! And it's cheap, low fat but you just gotta spice it well.

The stupid people on this board are those that think it's the responsibility of those that aren't the parents of the kids to do for those kids what their own parents refuse to do.

There's no reason not to talk about what we do...
I guess you should refuse to pay taxes, then... especially if you're unhappy with your sex life....
'...about those private schools your kids attended? You do know that private schools are not completely privately funded...don't you?

Yep. We had actual cooks in the kitchen back then. We loved the "lunch ladies". Meat, fish, poultry, greens, rice, potatoes, desserts...all cooked THERE. Now it's all the frozen junk food I guess. They'd be better off bringing lunch from home. A simple sandwich, a fruit and drink.

I noticed quite a few kids at my g-sons' school did bring their lunches. In some cases though I'm not sure that that was any better than what the cafeteria served. Lunchables, mom? Really? That's not food.

He does have a point about your virtue-signalling. You claimed earlier you were going off to "take food to the school" (which they won't accept unless it's packaged professionally), yet here you are. You never explained to us why you had such a hate-on for Mrs. Obama and her nutritional/exercise program, while now you're intensely interested in making sure kids don't have a "meatless Monday" in a school district hundreds of miles away. I thought those examples of Korean school childrens' lunches looked delicious, didn't you?

We always had fish on Fridays at school too. And nothing with pork (not even jello with the inevitable raisins) on Jewish holidays. Which didn't matter because the Jewish kids got those days off anyways, just like the Catholic kids got their high holy days off.

Not unless you're looking for a pat on the back.

You must be projecting about your sex life. I support the ones that I produced. It's not my place to support the ones I didn't.

Since you have no idea where my kids went to school, making such a statement makes you look foolish.

We had owl burgers. Yummy.

My problem with school taxes is property owners pay school taxes. But renters don't I believe everyone should pay school taxes.

The winner is proving his point by showing the loser OwlWoman is a coward. You don't see it because you're a fucking bitch that hides when someone says something that hurts her feelings.

In the case of renters, the property owners pay the property taxes. I imagine the cost of the taxes is calculated into the price of the rent charged.

True but if the renter is paying the taxes as part of their rent then the landlord is getting off. As I said I think everyone should pay school taxes.

If the tax money is flowing to the local govt. entity, it doesn't matter whether the landlord is paying it or the renter, it's still being paid. Cities/counties are not about to let a piece of property that's being used and generating income to sit there idly not rendering unto Caesar. Look at it this way. If you buy a house to fix up and rent out, the minute you sign the closing docs you will start accruing property taxes on that. Doesn't matter whether you ever rent it out; as long as you own it, you'll pay taxes on it. You can charge back the taxes in the form of rent to your tenant, but you still have to pay the piper. Your tenant only pays you. You're responsible for paying the govt. what is owed. If you don't pay, you can forfeit the property.
