You should consider it an embarrassment to have done what you did in 2008 and 2012.

Voting one way all your life means you know what you believe. Voting like you do know should be a reason for you to go into hiding and never show your face again.

Voting for someone because you thought skin color was a qualification proves you became dumber over the years. You still have time to wise up and make up for your mistakes before it's too late and you burn in hell for what you've done.

I never liked Reagan and I still think Jimmy Carter got a worse rap than he deserved.

I thought Reagan was always an actor, a mediocre one at that.

It perplexes me that he is such a Republican icon, but compared to Trump he does seem like an honorable man.

In hindsight, I see clearly that Raygun committed a lot of crimes and did a lot of damage to America's middle class, to labor, to the environment, to the post-New Deal social contract.

We really mostly have to thank the reformer Gorbechev for ending the cold war. Wittingly or not, Gorby engineered the collapse of the USSR.

I agree with you about Carter, and in hindsight he is looking better, and his legacy has improved.

I mostly voted for Raygun out of a misguided and naïve perception that he was more anti-communist than Carter. I attribute that to the influence of my anti-communist immigrant parents and relatives on an impressionable young man. That's my story, and I am sticking with it!
