Shout-out to the founders: they crafted institutions, laws and a Constitution that protect this republic from all challenges and threats. It's like they thought through everything.
Here we had a rogue President who for 2 solid months tried everything within his power to steal an election: false propaganda, bogus court challenges, pressuring & intimidating legislators and other officials, and finally, an insurrection that breached our Capitol.
And here we stand today, with the results of the election certified, approved by Congress and a peaceful transition of power coming in a little over a week.
Wednesday seemed like a terrible day for America and democracy. While it was a tragic and unnerving day, in the long run, it strengthened us as a nation.
