America Retreating from Religion

Religion isn't in and of itself civilization. It is certainly part of civilization, but it does not itself define civilization. There is no quantitative value in civilization. Nothing is 'higher' or 'lower'. It's simply different.

Morality & Civilization are only so subjective.
There is usually a wide level of agreements.

Delusional.

What wars, or genocides are Catholics currently entrenched in!?

It's mostly the Protestant USA, Orthodox Russia, Atheist China & Islamic states which are modern trouble makers.

China isn't atheist. They primarily are Buddhists and various forms of Shinto (generally classified as 'folk religions' by the Western world). Shinto, although it is a Japanese word, is actually a religion that exists in many parts of the world, including the United States. Most people call this religion a 'folk religion' sooner or later.

There are Christians in China, but they have to stay hidden to avoid persecution.

Islam believes in God, meaning the same God as the Jews and as many Christians. Like the Jews, they do not recognize Christ as a god or as the Son of God. If anything, Christ was a great teacher, but not the Son of God.
Islam has its fundamentalists like any religion. So do Jews. Unfortunately, cruel dictators wield power in the name of Islam, corrupting what this religion is, and use it to push their wars and hatred of anything not Islam abroad.

Both Protestants and Catholics have caused problems, and both have had their successes. As always, there are those that push their own agendas in the name of some religion, using it to masquerade what they are doing. These are the ones that cause the most problems in any society. The liars. The deceivers. Those that follow the pattern of Satan (using the character as described in the Bible) or the pattern of puffed up pride among men (as described in the Bible).

Yet you do. You stand up for the Church of No God.

I have No Idea if there are 'Gods' or 'No Gods'. I have No Idea if there IS or IS NOT an Afterlife. I don't waste my time debating about it. None of us know.
I concern myself with THIS life. This Reality.

China's mostly non religious.

Since it's not possible to prove a circular argument (or Argument of Faith) neither True nor False, it is not possible to prove whether any god or gods exist nor do not exist. Science is atheistic. It simply doesn't go there. Science is a set of falsifiable theories. it does not try to prove the existence or non-existence of any god or gods.

This is wrong. The elementary particles constituting atoms are protons and neutrons. The elementary particles of protons, electrons, and neutrons are quarks. Bosons and leptons are essentially particles of energy, not matter. Electrons are a lepton.

A quaint naming. But then, little is really known about this particle.
Good God, I wish you would stop following me around.

Protons and neutrons are subatomic particles, they are not elementary particles. Refer to the standard model of particle physics if you have to.

Energy and matter are interchangeable. Current thought in fact, is that matter is actually nothing more than oscillations in energy fields.

Electrons are only one type of lepton. There is in fact an entire family of leptons in the standard model of particle physics.

The Higgs boson field is what gives mass to all other particles. In that sense, the Higgs field is what holds the universe together, aka earning it it's name the God particle.

Okay. Fine. Then you are quite properly an atheist.

Good God, I wish you would stop following me around.
I don't follow anyone around. Persecution complex.
Protons and neutrons are subatomic particles,
That's what I said. Atoms are made up of protons, neutrons, and electrons.
they are not elementary particles.
Define 'elementary particle'. A boson? What's a boson made of?
Refer to the standard model of particle physics if you have to.
Already have. That's why I corrected you.
Energy and matter are interchangeable.
In certain ways, yes.
Current thought in fact, is that matter is actually nothing more than oscillations in energy fields.
I've heard this theory. The trouble with it is, energy is not a field.
Electrons are only one type of lepton.
Never said otherwise. I simply said electrons are a lepton.
There is in fact an entire family of leptons in the standard model of particle physics.
Yes. So?
The Higgs boson field is what gives mass to all other particles. In that sense, the Higgs field is what holds the universe together, aka earning it it's name the God particle.
This is the a theory behind the Higgs boson. It is, however, only a theory. Currently there is no way to test it. A boson is not a field. It's a particle.

If a Higgs boson holds the Universe together, what holds the Higgs boson together? How about any lepton, like a neutrino or an electron? How about quarks in all their varieties?

look chap, you really should just take a particle physics class instead of asking me these questions.

In physics, an elementary particle is a particle which has no structure, aka it is not composed of smaller particles.

Neutrons and protons are not subatomic particles. They have structure which is composed of quarks. To the best of our knowledge, quarks, leptons, bosons are fundamental elementary particles which cannot be divided into smaller particles.

Energy does exist as fields, aka Higgs fields, electromagnetic fields, gravitational fields. I recommend you enroll in physics 101 if this sounds unfamiliar to you.

No, you just can't answer these questions.

That was once thought of the atom. See the meaning of 'atom'.
Neutrons and protons are not subatomic particles.
Yes they are.
They have structure which is composed of quarks.
So?

So far. Once the atom itself was thought of as such. Once elements themselves were though of as such, even back to the days when everything was thought to made of fire, water, air, spirit, and earth. I suggest you study the history of what was once considered the 'ultimate constituents of matter'. It's actually an entertaining story, as are most parts of the history of science. You see, I don't just study science, I also study the history of how theories came to be and how they were tested for their null hypothesis. It's also an interesting study on the various models that these theories use.

Remember what we 'know' of atoms and their particles is a model, nothing more. It could all change tomorrow. Theories of science have been falsified before, you know.

Energy does exist as fields, aka Higgs fields, electromagnetic fields, gravitational fields.
No. Energy is not a field. Gravity is not energy. It is a force. Light, which is energy, has no field (according to our current model).
I recommend you enroll in physics 101 if this sounds unfamiliar to you.
Lame. You couldn't come up with a better insult than that?

You have already made several important mistakes in quantum physics. This is not unusual, most people never even get as far as you have with it.

ORGANIZED RELIGION =/= BELIEF IN GOD.

THE OVERWHELMING MAJORITY OF AMERICANS CONTINUE TO BELIEVE IN GOD.

CHOKE ON IT, LEFTIDIOTS.

The highest level of belief (87%) comes from a simple yes/no question, "Do you believe in God?" which Gallup last asked in 2017.

Belief drops to 79% when respondents are given three options, one being God is something they believe in. The rest are either not sure whether they believe in God or firmly say they do not believe in God.

LESS THAN 4% OF AMERICANS IDENTIFY AS ATHEISTS.

Polls are completely meaningless.
