Survey had to be taken in some ruby red State

To be fair, that question seems to be phrased to take advantage of the fact it is not common knowledge that our numbering systems come from the Arabs, and originally via India. The question makes it sound like the proposal is to teach a new numbering system in supplement to the existing one.

With that nod to fairness aside, we know that there are a lot of buck-toothed rubes for whom the word "Arab" is like waving a red flag in front of an angry bull.

Yeah yeah yeah and Womens Suffrage should be repealed. All your food is filled with dihydrogen monoxide lol everyone is an idiot for not knowing the archaic nuances in our language.

Seems neither you nor Archive actually read the article. You both are doing a great job of what it really says. Congratulations.

True, the survey was testing prejudice, however, it still says a lot, you would think a respondent might ask what exactly do you mean by Arabic numbers?

Judging by their website, it was probably a social media poll with uneducated snowflakes answering.

No problem: "Survey had to be taken in some ruby red State". Now read the article idiot. All of it. You, Cypress, and anyone that thanked you for the link, prove what it says.

Want to try again because the article makes zero reference as to what location it was taken?

Who's proving what the link said?

That could be true given that "seventy-two per cent of Republican-supporting respondents said Arabic numerals should not be on the curriculum"

The survey doesn't mention how many of the 3,624 were Pubs and how many were Dems. It says there were "3,624 respondents".
