Anatta lied, Florida most definitely NOT under control

Cuomo could shoot an old lady full of the corona virus on 5th Avenue and the lib'ruls would still support him......

Or, he could take one of our most populous, traveled states and make it the top state at limiting spread of COVID - and everyone should not only support him, but copy exactly what he did.

If FL is a disaster what adjective would you use to describe NY/NJ?

Florida is a disaster. If you have a comment about Florida's response, I'll be happy to answer. If you want to play whataboutism, you'll have to find a different sucker.

So Florida has gone from utter disaster to just really bad. I guess that's progress. Better mask compliance. I've seen it in person. But 4,500 cases is nothing to celebrate. That's more than most countries. It is what it is, as the President said. Over 10K dead in Florida, and while cases are going down, deaths are not. Florida is/was a disaster.

Anatta/dukkha is a paid troll. A Russia thread is like honey to his bee.
The death rate is trending down from its peak of 276 per day.

Paragons for responding to a crisis.

DeSantis responded without sacrificing his state’s economy.

Democrats/Fauci are bad about taking a narrow view—as if nothing else matters but COVID numbers. Lockdowns take a grotesque social toll wherever they are inflicted on a city or state.

Come November, DeSantis will be able to say FL weathered the storm without creating some nasty unintended consequences.

Is anyone left in NYC?

LOL

DeSantis is a national joke. I honestly hope that the GOP tries to prop him up as some kind of warped success story.

Ny/NJ is the Gold Standard for a disaster so comparing Florida is a legitimate observation and is not a whatabotism. Florida has fewer than a 1/3 of the deaths than NY state has with over 2 million larger population than NY state. In fact the real number of nursing home deaths in NY is likely to top 11K a larger number than Florida's total COVID death.[9932].

Numbers from Johns Hopkins

Exactly my point.

Disaster compared to *what*? They have to use the most hyperbolic language as possible because—because it all goes back to Trump and the election.

If FL is a disaster what adjective would you use to describe NY/NJ?
Two states that were victims of the trump virus, because he tried to keep it a secret. If airplanes/ports were warned to sanitize, perhaps the strain we got from Europe wouldn't have affected NY/NJ so badly?

trump was too busy golfing, and holding Klan rallies.

Given what happened in NY/NJ, one must ask why Fla. allowed super spreader events on Memorial Day?

Do small business owners in FL think it’s a disaster?

Stop changing the subject. I don't know how small business owners feel, but I can tell you that this second outbreak has killed the hospitality industry. Why are you evading the topic? Do you think 10,000 people dead in Florida, with still thousands of cases every day is a good outcome?

So, what term would you use to describe the 10,000 dead Floridians in the last couple of months, and the half a million cases of the virus in the last couple of months? What's your adjective to describe that?

We aren't talking about NY and NJ. They now have almost no cases. We're talking about Florida. Try to stay on the topic.

They're all moving to FL! :good4u:

Meh, Cuomo owns that one lol.

LOL

That's an extreme partisan viewpoint.

Know what the rest of America sees? A state that logically was hit hardest at the start, but adjusted what they did to be in compliance w/ CDC guidelines. Cuomo urged washing hands, wearing masks & distancing - and NY re-opened in stages, instead of rushing it.

It's really indisputable - the results absolutely speak for themselves. NY now has the slowest spread in the nation. And it ain't "herd immunity."

And you know this how lol?

People fleeing NY is an indisputable result of democrat policy. Lockdowns suck and cause people to flee to places that aren’t locked down. It’s human nature. Why would anyone want to stay confined for *months* when they have alternatives?

And herd immunity is absolutely in play as explanation for NYC and other places that were hard hit. In fact, it’s gaining traction.

One would think that other states would have used NY as a model, instead of denying that they would face the problem eventually.

Gaining traction with you. Not one public health expert agrees. That's zero. I think they know better than you.
