trump says he was going to save hundreds of thousands of jobs by making a deal to keep oil prices stable. (he touched it.) Oil prices went to NEGATIVE $30 more unstable than we can imagine. We cannot even figure out how many different people we will need to bailout. (It went to shit.) When trump should have been figuring out ways to keep immediate oil from flooding the market, he was not. he created a terrible deal where he told everyone it was fine, but it really was not. (trump is a terrible deal maker.)

You might have an argument, if the price of oil had gone sky high. It could then be argued that fiat money is worthless, and should be replaced with something of real worth.

Oil is worthless, the dollar is keeping its value, and using gold would just make the oil market even worse. This is market localized deflation at a level never before seen. It is at a level never thought to be possible.
