Archaeology of the New Testament

I think it was written later!! But even if we go by your 85-year figure, that's still too far afterwards!
According to experts, Annals by the Roman historian Tacitus was published between 105 and 116 AD.

That's not "more than 100 Years" after the execution of Jesus, which is what you claimed.

That's only 75 to 85 years after the execution of Jesus. That's about the same amount of time between now and World War 2. People still write histories of World War 2 today.

In 105 AD Tacitus would have access to Roman records and information that we don't have because they no longer exist.

So in summarizing your two massive mistakes:

1) You claimed Jesus of Nazareth was never recorded in any history book. WRONG. The Roman historian Tacitus wrote about the execution of Jesus by Pontuis Pilate in his history of the Roman Empire published about 80 years after the crucifixion.

2) You tried to backpedal and claims Tacitus' histories was published "more than 100 years" after the crucifixion. WRONG. Tacitus' history of the Roman Empire was published between 105 and 116 AD. That's about 75-80 years after the trial of Jesus under Pontius Pilate. A 75- 80 year time gap is completely normal for a work of history. People are still writing histories about the Eisenhower presidency or World War 2.

There are eyewitness for all of Sathya Sai Baba's BS "miracles". Do you believe he's actually performing miracles?

My wife is a devout Christian and sincere believer in miracles. Although Christian in philosophy, I don't believe in magic, miracles or anything that breaks the rules of the Universe as created by God or whatever force you care to call the creation of this universe and, probably, others.

OK, I'll buy that. So it was more than a half-century after the alleged execution of the supposed "Jesus."

What do you believe you have shown? Not that it wasn't fiction.

This is why your faith is the cornerstone in this equation. Nobody can provide evidence that passes the rigors of historical scrutiny that the account of Jesus is anything more than an urban legend. If your faith is so weak that you cannot continue believing unless you somehow convince yourself of historicity, then you don't really believe in the first place.

If you are not a believer, then stop pretending that you somehow are.

That's only 75 to 85 years after the execution of Jesus.
OK. You have pivoted from trying to support your claim to distracting attention away from your failure to support your claim.

I like Jesus because the golden rule is totally rational.

christianity is already future proof, for the scientific age.

You believe the Physical Universe controls the Spirit world, when it's just the opposite.
