Those programs are inherently racist and sexist. Affirmative action gives certain races and genders advantages in college entry, job access, etc.

In terms of college admissions, it has long been known and even legally proved that certain races, particularly Blacks, have been granted admission to prestigious universities over more qualified applicants who are the 'wrong' race. Ivy league schools have even been hit in court for taking poorly qualified applicants over far better qualified Asians because too many Asians were applying.

The East Coast schools take lots of legacy students who are often poorly qualified or unqualified. Trump did not qualify for a public junior college.
