Might be a close race on a road course. Mine weighs in at about 2800 but my center of gravity is at the wheel hubs and my weight transfer is better.
The engine is set back in the chassis, but being a cast iron block, heads, and intake, it makes it a bit understeer. I found it's limitations accidentally, fortunately I wasn't going that fast and gathered it back rather quickly..
That said, our toys are lots of fun, and of course we are biased toward the toys we have. I'm heading to a car show tomorrow with a few friends, should be a really nice day, although a bit cool in the morning. The Shelby has a great heater, but is basically useless. It does keep the shift hand warm if you rest it on the trans tunnel. That being extremely important...
