Trump is such an asshole. His tariffs are a joke. He says he makes a deal, a tariff, and then changes it on a whim. That is not how deals work. If you want to change a deal, you have to renegotiate. That is sitting down and hashing it out. Trump just changes it when he feels like That is not a deal. Carney says Trump's deals are written in pencil. Trump even wants to dictate Canada's trade and tariffs with other nations.

Any province of Canada can decide to join the United States. They won't become a State by doing so. They become a territory. At that point they enjoy the benefits of a republic as a form of government.
To become a State, they must create a constitution, get the people of that territory to ordain it to power and form their first government under it, and apply to Congress.
I'm glad Trump opened up the subject. A province would do well to escape the tyranny of the Canadian government, and tariffs would no longer apply in either direction.
