Beto O"Rourke calls for ban on AR-15s

How could they be illegal if the constitution says you can bear arms? Would not a machine gun be considered "arms"? Or is it because the supreme court has already ruled that govt can restrict which ones you can own meaning it's perfectly constitutional if they outlawed all semi auto rifles. I think that would be stupid but it's certainly not unconstitutional.

It’s early, but I’m inclined to think the Pastey White Irishman will say anything to get elected.

I don’t care for Bernie’s principles—but he does have some. Beto is like a blank slate. I’m not a progressive [right lol?] but if I was I’d be wary of this guy. I don’t think he’s serious about banning AR’s—it just resonates with the lefties.

I also think he’d fall right in line with the regime change addicts rather than fight them. I don’t see Beto fighting for anything, actually.

Getting rid of machine guns or anything that approximates their output should be a no brainer.
Only the cops or military should have them. Hillbillies should have to reload with a sack of black
powder and a stone

And yet you support letting people drive cars that do 3 times the legal speed limit??? Explain that.

If you look at the polished hardwood stock of a Weatherby Mark V or a Beretta over and under and then you look at an AR-15, you see the difference in class between a respectable human being and a trumpanzee troglodyte.

Ugly people like ugly guns. The AR-15 is to a class firearm what a double wide is to a Newport mansion.

No wonder the crackers and shitkickers love them so much. Its the difference between Walmart and Gordy and Sons.

I agree AR-15s are ugly. But there's no accounting for taste and you should not condemn any gun because of looks.

So you wanted Bush in prison for his dwi

Hell yes. Cheney too. He had TWO DUIs. The 2000 GOP ticket was something else. Two convicted violent drug criminals.!! And Bush's wife laura once KILLED a former boy friend by running a stop light and crashing into him. But the press didn't talk about any of that.

Donald Trump

The number of alleged Constitution violations are stacking up for President Donald Trump. He’s been accused of undermining the freedom of the press with “fake news” comments and wanting to put journalists in jail who have published government leaks, according to Newsweek. Trump’s also been accused of accepting payments from foreign officials, a direct violation of the Foreign Emoluments Clause.

What a massive pile of stupid.

Notice it says "alleged." It's not saying this is true for sure, just that he's been accused of those things.
Anyway, you're trying to change the subject. The point is that muh Constitution does not protect our rights because, historically, presidents have ignored it.

Are you serious? So you believe that the only reason people murder others is because the State Governments refused to enforce the laws? STFU!

No, you're getting angry and strawmanning because you know you're wrong.
I'm saying that laws only prevent people from breaking them if those laws are enforced. Of course some people will still break the laws, but many more won't if they know there will be a punishment.

Yes they are, you just have to have a license.
And bans were struck down when challenged.

I understand that, but an ordinary person cannot go down and buy a machine gun unless they get the special license and there are still restrictions.

Which state ban was struck down? Several states and D. C. still have bans and some of those have been around since the 1980s.
