Of course the French, Spanish, Portuguese, Dutch, Germans and Belgians were paragons of virtue. It's clear that you've a massive chip on your shoulder and have little interest in the truth. Makes you wonder why so many Polish pilots fought in the Battle of Britain, and indeed why millions live in the Uk now, any answer to that?

If the Brits cared so little about human lives why did they force the Hindus to give up the abhorrent practice of Duri, got any answer for that? Indeed why did they abolish slavery, resulting in huge compensation payments to the ships' owners for many years, nearly the country in the process?

You've singled out almost every R1b haplogroup nation.

Yes, Western Europeans aren't good people.

Some Poles fought for Britain & some even for Stalin.

It was a matter of defeating Nazis.

Almost all Poles knew back then Hitler was a more volatile threat than Stalin.

Not that Stalin was good.
Stalin was really bad too.

Just the message has been lost to some modern Poles who believe Stalin was worse than Hitler.

He pretty much gave a stiff upper lip to his people in the Battle of Britain
and kept any chance of suing for peace with Hitler from happening

Without the English channel I suspect Britain would have been done in 2 months.

The English Channel prevented Nazi tank blitzkrieg.

The Welsh Wanker is a nasty old bastard, Wales wouldn't have lasted five minutes without Churchill. He knows that perfectly well but is totally puffed up with nationalism and false pride. Strange to think though that Hitler would have given Wales its independence, that does make me laugh!

It's long been the subject of fiction – what would have happened to the UK if Nazi Germany had won the Second World War?

From countless novels to numerous films, a different outlook of the country's future has been imagined since the war finished in 1945.

Although it is, thankfully, the stuff of fiction the prospect of a Nazi-controlled UK almost became a reality.

So sure were the Nazis of a successful invasion that Hitler's top officials drew up huge plans detailing exactly how they would defeat the UK and what would have happened in the aftermath.

From stationing Nazi troops across south Wales to rounding up almost a quarter of the male population and making Wales an 'independent' country, we have looked at exactly what was planned for a Nazi-controlled Wales.

Just six weeks after a German invasion France fell to Nazi forces in June 1940 and the Third Reich quickly turned to Britain as its next target.

Poland, Holland, Belgium, Denmark, Norway and Luxembourg had all fallen before and the UK seemed to be ready to fall next.

On July 16, 1940, Adolf Hitler issued Directive Number 16 which read: "As England (which refers to Britain as a whole), in spite of the hopelessness of her military position, has so far shown herself unwilling to come to any compromise, I have decided to begin to prepare for, and if necessary to carry out, an invasion of England... and if necessary the island will be occupied."

Vast plans were drawn up under the codename Operation Sea Lion.

The documents were seized by Allied forces after the war and lay bare the full horrifying plans Nazi forces had for Wales following a successful invasion.

According to the plans “the able-bodied male population between the ages of 17 and 45 will, unless the local situation calls for an exceptional ruling, be interned and dispatched to the continent”.

This would have meant hundreds of thousands of young men would have been sent off to Europe to fight and serve Nazi Germany.

In the Operation Sea Lion documents, which were translated by Oxford University, it identified the Welsh as one group to keep a close eye on.

Officers wrote: "Unlike the bright English they are dark and small in stature. Even though they have largely abandoned their language, they have still retained a reasonably strong awareness of their distinctive heritage and culture."

In an attempt to decrease any loyalty to the government in Westminster, Germany would have carved up the UK turning it into more of a confederation of independent states.

Independence would have been given to Wales, Scotland, a united Ireland, and a semi-autonomous status for the West of England.

But, as half of Europe had already seen, independence under Nazi Germany wasn't something that really existed.

Puppet governments from Norway to France were installed once German forces had invaded and Britain was to be no different.

Historical author Andrew Roberts said: "A more likely candidate might have been the former Liberal prime minister David Lloyd George, who had admired Adolf Hitler when they met before the war, and who might well have performed much the same role that Marshal Philippe Petain did after the fall of France."

The first, and so far only, Welsh prime minister was not included on a Nazi hit-list drawn up to stop any resistance movements across the country.

The Special Prosecution Book for Great Britain was known as the 'black book' and included 2,820 people who would be arrested after the invasion.

Lloyd George was not on the list due to his statements advocating peace once the war began.

With a puppet government installed Swastika flags and symbols would have likely been put up at most public buildings in Wales as they had been in France.

The Operation Sea Lion plans also refer to which languages would have been allowed, with Welsh banned.

A regulation would have been enforced that no language other than German, Italian, Spanish, French, Dutch or English could be used, with "dialects" not allowed.

In his book If Britain Had Fallen Norman Longmate said German forces would have been likely stationed across south Wales during the initial few months when resistance would be expected.

He added that troops would later be thinned out and Snowdonia would be "almost permanently ungarrisoned" with soldiers performing "occasional sweeps" to round up any resistance fighters.

Germany would have also made use of Welsh farms to feed the occupying troops rather than send off supplies back to the continent.

Winston Churchill said that if Britain had fallen in 1940 "all that we have known and cared for, will sink into the abyss of a new Dark Age".

Thankfully his prediction never came true.

The blitzkrieg would have run over everything if not for the Russian winter -
that and the sheer length of the long supply lines stopped Hitler

I will take that as a tacit admission you cannot name any important person in Britain who is actually complaining about a bust being moved

Obama has not been president since 2016.
