It's OK to Be White
You can't lift someone out of poverty by giving them things. 50+ years of social welfare has proven that. The same percentage of Americans live in poverty today as did just prior to the start of a program that was supposed to eradicate poverty. $22 trillion later, nothing but more demands for more things by those that refuse to do for themselves.
When you continue to hand people things they didn't earn, you're not creating a level playing field. You're creating beggars.
The reason social welfare hasn't worked well in America, but has worked in Europe, is because aside from America having a lot more black and brown people, we also never took social welfare seriously. In America, welfare keeps people alive, but it doesn't give them the opportunities that they need to stay alive while moving up the social ladder.
