Chicago shootings: 34 shot, 7 fatally, in weekend violence across

And yet there's threads after threads showing how black people make up higher percentage of killings despite their minority population. Wouldn't that be considered racist because it "reinforces" the idea that African-Americans are somehow prone to violence?

Can't have both ways.

I think some peoples motivations that you are referencing are racist, but discussing the topic itself is not. Note you haven't discussed this topic, thus proving my point.

Discuss what? That there have been a constant gun violence in inner cities? That isn't news. As I have stated, eliminate War on Drugs and the problem will disappear overnight.

then there you go, why do you whine and bitch about "assault rifles" used in less than 1% of all gun crimes yet won't discuss illegal guns which are 95% of the gun problem, seems ass backwards.

BTW, it isn't just the black people who have committed violence. Other people of other races do it too in inner cities. Gangs and drug groups come in different colors.

I am pretty sure you can see the difference between "assault rifles" and handguns. And the crimes themselves.

Well when I make that argument, (don't hold your breath) you would have a proper rebuttal. ;)

yes, less than 1% of all gun crimes involve rifles, even less "assault rifles".... 95% of all gun crimes involve handguns all illegal, the rest are legal handguns and shotguns.

I have no idea what you are trying to get me to say, honestly.

It's pretty easy. Handguns are usually involved in gang and drug wars and personal murders.

"Assault rifles" are involved in mass shootings on people they do not know, for no reason other than religion, politics and whatever else.

so how many people died last year from "mass shootings" with "assault weapons"?

compared to, yes. but nothing? no of course not, it's you who is treating 95% of the problem as a nothing berger.

Who said that I think drug and gang wars are nothingburger? It's a huge problem in the inner cities. Local and bigger organizations are working on solving the problem with success. A lot of gang members have reformed due to programs.

Yes, people are struggling with it but our politicians in D.C. don't seem to care.

Wrong, no matter who is behind it the problem remains too many guns and too easy access to too many guns, anyone who really wants one can get one

is the gun the problem or is the killer the problem ?
I have a lot of guns and have had a gun from the age 7 . Yet I have not shot anyone and none of my guns did either odd how its the guns fault and not the person with their finger on the trigger which tend to be democrats
