I’ll offer an an analogy (and please don’t think I’m comparing Jarod to Krugman regarding smarts.)

Paul Krugman won a Nobel Prize for his work on international trade. In that regard the man is brilliant. But when you read his NYT column he transforms into a partisan hack and some of the economic stuff he spouts even he knows is wrong/doesn’t believe but yet he says it anyway because he’s not writing as an economist but rather a partisan.

Point being, partisanship can make otherwise smart people stupid (and that includes right and left)

It's a correct point, but an incorrect example given. There is no difference in the Paul Krugman on the two occasions. Very consistently smart. Taking the liberal/progressive side is the result of high intelligence, a sound mind, and being extremely well-informed. The man is aware, observant, and sharp. And yes, brilliant. It is logical that he should reach a liberal impression of our national situation.

The liberal position makes the most sense. People live longer lives in nations where the government takes a more active role in making sure everyone has what they need. And guess what? Those nations have less corruption than the USA. And fewer billionaires. Republicans are taking over because that party has been co-opted by the greedy and powerful super-rich like the Koch brothers. The organizations they funded to produce and distribute propaganda are unparalleled. They created the TEA Party. It wasn't grass roots. Co-opted. Had. Conned. Hatred is their tool. Very effective. Big money = big power, and it is being used very irresponsibly by the right. That is why so many people work so hard for so many years in the USA and don't have anything to show for it.

Nope the minute that they chose to have unprotected sex, they tacitly contracted to lease that womb to another human renter (half whom also have wombs). There is an implied contract that most couples understand..

What happens when it isn't consensual? The 14 year old has no choice?
Do you know that the pregnancy can be proven un viable and now the women will be forced to carry the pregnancy full-term?

The consequence is not just limiting abortion. The consequences include big government meddling in very personal decisions between a woman, dr, and family.

My daughter deserves better. Like life insurance, you hope you don't need it but the CHOICE can be critical for your loved ones.
