Congratulations, you took freedom away…

Oh not just you

All menfolk

If all women can have the government control their innards

We can surely monitor your silly little sack

My wife has been monitoring the whereabouts of my balls for the last 24 years now. She keeps a pretty sharp eye on things. My balls are safe and secure....

You guys want all those babies breathing air to just starve in the sreets with no healthcare remember

You hate “takers”

Abortion is not birth control....That is loud and clear now....
Total abortions since 1973...63,469,781
I am as anti-abortiom as anyone but also 100% pro-choice.

Ideally, there is no rape, no incest, no dangerous pregnancies, no domestic abuse, and no need for an abortion.

Unfortunately, all of those exist and because I believe in privacy for women you can't possibly outlaw abortion and be respectful to a victim of incest.

As a result, I am pro-choice. The government should not be involved in these private and difficult decisions.

Does this mean there is a risk of abuse? Yep, like every other right we enjoy some will abuse it. I still value my daughter, wife, nieces, and all the women more than a need to avoid that abuse.

If you black women had not aborted so many black babies you wouldn't be such an underrepresented minority. There would be millions and millions more African Americans . But you somehow think that is a bad thing.

Do you call since 1973...63,469,781 abortions (murders) "some"...?

The ruling specifically says it applies only to abortion and not to the other issues you falsely say it will effect.

Incorrect. The ruling says there is no right to privacy enshrined in the Constitution. It means states can ban all kinds of things like birth control, same sex marriage, same sex sexual activities, etc. It strips Federal protections on all of that. By the way, it strips Federal protection of interracial marriage, something Thomas conveniently didn't include in his list of privacy cases. I wonder why.

So as long as states allow abortion for rape, incest, and health of the mother you are good with outlawing abortion. Right. Most will do that exact thing.

That isn't the goal though...

"With*Roe v. Wade overturned, exceptions to abortion bans — such as in the case of rape or incest, or for a pregnant person’s safety — are expected to be the only avenue to getting abortions in many states.
But meeting the qualifications for those asterisks to the bans can be complex and traumatizing, experts say.*"

"For example, over the past few months, Oklahoma has passed three laws restricting abortion. The latest one, signed by the governor Wednesday,*bans abortion beginning at fertilization, which would, at least in theory, ban both in vitro fertilization and many forms of hormonal birth control."

"Now, however, anti-abortion forces appear to be on the cusp of being granted free rein by the Supreme Court to ban abortion to any degree they want. Activists clearly want the most comprehensive bans that lawmakers will pass."

"At the same time, an increasing number of state legislatures are contemplating bans that do not include exceptions for the health (as opposed to the life) of the pregnant person*or for pregnancies resulting from rape or incest."

"During*debate in the Oklahoma Senate on the strictest of the bans, Republican*Sen. Warren Hamilton*said he did not think the measure went far enough because it allowed abortions in the case of an ectopic pregnancy, a life-threatening medical emergency in which an embryo is growing outside the uterus."

This isn't meant to stop abuse it is meant to completely remove a right from women to make decisions about their bodies with their dr. What the radical Supreme Court just did, is invite itself to those dr appointments.

More big government by the extreme right.

You have proof of what percent involved the life of mother, rape, incest, or abuse?

Should we ban all guns (including law enforcement) because of all the gun deaths since 1973?

Hello cawacko,

It's a correct point, but an incorrect example given. There is no difference in the Paul Krugman on the two occasions. Very consistently smart. Taking the liberal/progressive side is the result of high intelligence, a sound mind, and being extremely well-informed. The man is aware, observant, and sharp. And yes, brilliant. It is logical that he should reach a liberal impression of our national situation.

The liberal position makes the most sense. People live longer lives in nations where the government takes a more active role in making sure everyone has what they need. And guess what? Those nations have less corruption than the USA. And fewer billionaires. Republicans are taking over because that party has been co-opted by the greedy and powerful super-rich like the Koch brothers. The organizations they funded to produce and distribute propaganda are unparalleled. They created the TEA Party. It wasn't grass roots. Co-opted. Had. Conned. Hatred is their tool. Very effective. Big money = big power, and it is being used very irresponsibly by the right. That is why so many people work so hard for so many years in the USA and don't have anything to show for it.
Lol

"greedy and powerful super-rich like the Koch brothers.."

SOROS!
