The trouble with lockdowns is that they depend upon decent people's compliance to work. I fear the Republican murder gangs will feel that not killing anyone for six weeks is an intolerable breach of their constitutional liberty.
I tend to agree. The Constitution does recognize empowering the government in times of crisis, but when a crisis develops because of incompetent leadership such as Trump FUBAR'ing the COVID crisis, then We, the People need to not only look at replacing the incompetent leadership but resolving how to avoid such a catastrophe again.
nowhere in the US Constitution does it give the federal government that authority or power, that's how
You mean your government can't save lives? I suppose that's why you have such police then?
Congrats! It's people like you who will cause the Democrats to take a shellacking in 2022. Kudos!
Testing on even a thousand people is no guarantee against adverse effects. AFAIK, the vaccine hasn't been tested on children, pregnant women, cancer patients, etc, etc, etc. It's the thorough testing which is the "red tape" Trump bitches about in FDA regulations.
It's one thing to test a vaccine on a few hundred people and another to test it on 328 million people. I'm really looking forward to seeing what happens.

You are correct that long term effects are unknown. Distributing the vaccine before that info is available is perilous. The decision has been made. They will do it. If you can avoid taking it for a while and choose to, I will understand. After shot effects actually shelved some promising vaccines. It is a problem.
