It goes without saying that the Canadian MSM (on TV that's CBC, CTV and Global) is all-in with the LPoC 24/7/365, and during covid they were in lock-step with the vax-Nazis every step of the way.
CTV isn't a state-owned media outlet like the CBC is, but their blind, slavish loyalty to the LPoC is indistinguishable from that of the CBC.
While it appears that CBC has decided to completely ignore the story about David Morens, CTV decided that they couldn't completely ignore it, so they had to lie about it.

That's a lie. Straight up.
The emails in question weren't merely "concealing research records", the primary reason that he was concealing them is because they exposed his and Fauci's own nefarious actions. The emails in question were conversations with Fauci and others about the real origin of covid, how to hide emails, how to block FOI requests, the gain of function research, etc.
By limiting the criminality to "concealing research records", CTV is making it look like it was only things of a scientific nature that were being hidden, but what Fauci and Morens were hiding was actual criminal activity.
For CTV's part, they were also guilty of playing up the Pangolin story and completely avoiding all talk of the BSL4 lab.
So the fact of the matter is that CTV isn't just protecting Fauci, they're covering their own ass with these lies.
CTV's lies in the main body of their article
The lying wasn't limited to the title. The article was rife with fabrications, minimization, disinformation, omission, etc.
Example:
CTV intentionally whitewashed the criminality from that sentence to make it seem like this was just about pure science from Dr Science and his dedicated team of trusted experts.

CBC and CTV frequently use language like "was accused of" in the place of "was caught" because "was accused of" implies that it is merely an accusation, and it could even mean that the accuser is just plain wrong, or even a liar/slanderer. They used this type of language when Carney was CAUGHT lying about his involvement with moving Brookfield's HQ to NY... The conservatives caught Carney lying, the MSM said that they "accused him of lying". The difference is night and day. That is a fabrication, not a mere minimization.
A CTV double-lie:

By saying "a controversial coronavirus grant", CTV is omitting the fact that what Fauci et al were discussing was "gain of function research on a bat coronavirus in the Wuhan lab that was funded by Fauci's own department", and then pushing the pangolin narrative to draw attention away from the fact that Fauci may have played a part in creating the covid-19 virus, while knowing that the pangolin story wasn't nearly as likely as they were pretending. And omitting is lying. CTV is still actively covering this up, to the best extent that they can, because CTV was co-conspirator in the "GoF/BSL4 Lab --> pangolin" directive, which is what Morens is actually being charged for here... Covering up the truth.
