So what do you think about a so called Covid stimulus bill that's loaded to the gunnels with pork? $1.9 trillion and virtually none of it would survive a normal budgeting process. All of it is to be funded by borrowing and added to the national debt. The actual spending that targeted at public health measures is miniscule, around 5%. It's good old fashioned vote buying, you used to work in accountancy surely if any company did that they'd be bankrupt pretty quick?
