Nobody was kicking out the lights on vehicles, blocking his road, blowing whistles at the cops, trying to make them unable to arrest child traffickers and rapists by having police refuse to work with Federal Law Enforcement causing them to have to "raid" houses, etc. and to send enough agents to provide their own security to boot... but at least those guys showed up "to a protest" open carrying.

The problem you have is in the complete misunderstanding of the motivation of another, you are incapable of empathy. I am providing simple information, putting the conversation on an informational footing rather than a feels footing where one is demanding information but seems to be still wanting rather than relieved.

I am not defending a poster, I am providing the law that the person is speaking about, so we can see how it applies. In this case we see that it isn't something that would negate Pretti's right to carry, cause the gun to be confiscated, or would merit even an arrest. It's a minor misdemeanor that would probably not even get him a ticket. It is "illegal" in the same way as it is illegal to go 2 MPH over the speed limit.

I expected the conversation to be able to continue forward, with someone from the left pointing out these factors as I gave them the information. Saying Pretti was "carrying illegally" is both true and unrealistic at the same time for the reasons assigned above. Now that I've been the one to put it into context for you, as you clearly are unable to comprehend information given to you on a platter, you can forward your argument. Or you can continue to say stupid stuff about me, at this point I no longer care, you bore me.

Larger ideas are simply incomprehensible to you. Your focus becomes inane, based on false memories of some badly remembered interaction with someone from long ago and not upon actual information, facts are beyond your capacity if they come from a source you do not want them to come from. I find these things to be boring and it makes interaction with you well... not a struggle... but almost impossible to get through my lethargy and incapacity to care, my natural apathy about the small minded personal approach to politics.
