Senators Susan Collins and Joe Manchin just announced they're voting for Brett Kavanaugh, making it likely that he will be confirmed tomorrow. But this is not over. It's just the beginning of our fight to save the Supreme Court.

Kavanaugh may have lied repeatedly under oath. We believe Prof. Christine Blasey Ford's allegations that he assaulted her, and they deserve an actual investigation. He's demonstrated extreme partisan bias. And we've already mobilized to get a growing number of Democrats to pledge to investigate him and even potentially impeach him.

Our democracy cannot afford to allow Brett Kavanaugh to keep his seat on the bench. Demand Progress is mobilizing to get Congress to launch an investigation that could lead to impeaching Kavanaugh after the midterms. Will you donate now to remove him from the Court?

Trumpo was warned that the Supreme Court would suffer due to his nomination. That appears to be a 'lodestar ' warning if ever there was one.

If you’re a republican. But that is probably the worst thing congressional democrats could do. I’m not even sure I could come up with a worser idea.

What democrats need to do is win some elections and impeachment isn’t the way to go about it.

The problem for the Republicans is the horrible shit stain they are leaving on the Supreme Court- and we know who put it there!

Every decision he makes now on the court will have that shit stain on it.

Since we know he is an extremist and constitutionalist, and we already know which way Kavanaugh is always going to vote, Roberts and Gorsuch will now end up being the swing voters when it comes to precedent and moral majority type issues like the rehashing of Roe vs. Wade.

We'll see, but I believe Roberts and Gorsuch were much more earnest when they took their oaths and we all know Kavanaugh will be pledging himself to his extreme Right-Wing Nationalistic mission!

Of course, that is always an option.

Another option is to stop the lifetime appointments and roll that back to about 10 years like they do FBI directors.

That doesn't say, that a president cannot re-select a justice for a 2nd10 year term, because that should always be an option as well!

If they should do that, that would instantly open up several immediate openings!

Agreed, but impeachment is a far more daunting process, and it doesn't balance the court in the way that adding two Justices would. It would neuter Kavanaugh.
