If you look at the commentary of middle class people, working class people, elites, virtually everyone in societies where socialism has gotten a foothold, their statements about the socialists they encountered (up until the point at which they weren't allowed to express opinions in public at all) all universally describe them as the most unevolved, unsophisticated, violent, Neanderthal-level degenerates they had ever met.
