Democrat Ocasio-Cortez is Anti-Military

I was Ms Alaska, Miss America and Miss Universe, all at the same time! It was my tap dancing on my head while balancing full wine glasses that impressed the judges.

Everyone seems to be weaving tales on the web today, thought I wouid join in the fun.

I've seen your picture, so this I do not believe.

Funny though, that a self-described "feminist" would immediately gravitate toward beauty contests in an attempt to claim glory.

oops...

In my experience, accomplished and successful people do not pat themselves on the back and crow about it on an obscure message board to people they do not know and will never meet.

He never has done that Cypress. He is certainly being questioned though by people who obviously have not gotten that far.

Only in response to libtards who claim the tired predictable if conservative, then stupid, redneck, trailer trash....

You seem to be another who misunderstands feminism!

To each their own.

I have never felt I had to prove anything about myself to anonymous posters I don't know, have never met, nor have any respect for.

Self-confidence, self-assuredness, modesty, and being comfortable in one's own skin are traits a lot of truly successful and exceptional people strive for.

Seriously!!! That’s a hoot, he boasts on himself all the time. He is a legend in his own mind.

Not that I see. In addition a degree in Engineering is something to be proud of. Particularly when you worked your own way through college to pay for it.

I tend to agree with that. Though there are times one does need to defend themselves.

You haven’t been around as long as I. His tales just keep getting better.

It can be, especially if it’s carrying water for your family.

Too funny. Now you're attempting to equate balancing small luxury items on your pampered head with some poor gal in a third world country carrying a heavy water jug from a remote spring...

My position is that if you cannot make an argument without invoking some kind of personal circumstance you won't verify, then it wasn't an argument worth making in the first place.

My position is that when someone attacks me by accusing me of being uneducated, poor, live in a trailer, etc., then I state facts that show that dispute the accusation. It's up to the accuser to prove his case, not mine to disprove it.

It is also my policy to accept someone else's claims at face value, unless there is evidence otherwise.

:snoop:

A good point.

Unverified claims on the interwebs are a dime a dozen.

I am constantly amazed how many internet conservatives I have run across who were decorated Navy SEALS, millionaires with multiple houses and collections of cars, combat veterans, and armchair experts in everything from science, to macroeconomics, to history.

Or are "small business owners" or are "married to an (insert minority group here)".

Thing is, this trend has always been prevalent in Conservatism because Conservatives need to establish they are credible before making arguments that aren't.

Back in 2008, I was working for a newspaper whose editor assigned me to investigate this "Joe the Plumber" guy because my editor thought his story was really fishy and didn't add up. So we began a deep dive into this character and found out that he was just posturing to try and ambush Obama; that he wasn't a plumber, hadn't been a plumber for years, was unemployed, and his name wasn't even Joe!

Because he never paid any sort of price for lying about himself, he empowered Conservatives with the notion they can fake their personal bios so long as it would entrap a liberal. It's basically itjihad...the idea that it's OK to lie to an infidel in order to achieve the prophet's ends. Conservatives have taken that concept and brought it to a whole new level.

That's why we cannot include them in anything moving forward, and why their representation should be diminished or outright eliminated.

Little Virgin is the type who requires an unobtainable standard of evidence for those who he dislikes, yet sets the bar on the floor as the standard for himself and other who he agrees with.

I once had to explain to him about the legal standard of "preponderance of evidence" as compared with "beyond a reasonable doubt", and he had no idea of what I was talking about.
