DHS has deported over 2100 terrorists from US

A highly touted and respected conservative think tank tells a different tale:

Leaving aside the disingenuous, one-sided, nature of that hit piece, nowhere in it does it discuss illegal aliens who are or were designated terrorists. All you are offering here is a red herring defense.

As for my calling it "disingenuous," that is because CATO uses the statement "no violent convictions." That leaves out non-violent crimes, including felonies and persons charged with non-violent felonies who were deported without going to trial. CATO does admit this obliquely within the article:

As of June 14, ICE had booked into detention 204,297 individuals (since October 1, 2024, the start of fiscal year 2025). Of those book-ins, 65 percent, or 133,687 individuals, had no criminal convictions. Moreover, more than 93 percent of ICE book-ins were never convicted of any violent offenses. About nine in ten had no convictions for violent or property offenses. Most convictions (53 percent) fell into three main categories: immigration, traffic, or nonviolent vice crimes.

ICE also books individuals who have pending criminal charges into custody. As of June 14, the agency had booked 44,897 individuals with only a pending charge.

So, CATO is committing a Continuum fallacy by hair splitting. That is they take the administration's claim that they are going after criminals first and adds conditions that those criminals must be violent and convicted to that claim. They further dilute it by saying anyone charged with a crime, violent or not, who is deported before being convicted is also to be excluded from the claim. In this way they arrive at their low balled conclusion.

By CATO's standards, someone running a Learing Center daycare that has bilked millions in fraud out of the Federal government and is subsequently arrested, tried, convicted, and then deported because they are illegally in the US, doesn't count toward their percentage because it was a "nonviolent vice crime." That is utterly asinine.

I reject their claims as deliberate obfuscation in furthering a political smear by CATO against the current administration.

Probably due to the FACT there are 2100 + less terrorists running around the US...

Always good in Trump's America to arrest "known criminals" before any of their crimes are committed.

I am constantly amazed at how prolific your stupidity is.

As usual, you think attaching your convoluted "logic" to your revisionist screeds solidifies your initial assertions.

Hint: it doesn't.

Please provide a link to a valid source that documents the number of "terrorists" that ICE has arrested, booked and who are awaiting trial. Not more of your opinion, speculation, supposition and conjecture.

And for your education: non-violent crimes do not include physical violence or the threat of such against someone. They do include things like theft, destruction or defscing of property, driving without a license, financial crimes, stuff like that.

Those are the underpinnings of your unnecessarily lengthy blather that should've been pre-empted by basic research at legal and law enforcement sites. Got that gumby?

Yeah, that's almost certainly a lie, lol. They're deporting school kids, house wives, construction workers, and cusekeepers. Maybe the occasional college student.

If they caught a terrorist it was by blind luck.

Illegal? Check!
Deported? Great! :woot:

I did that in post #1. Go back and read it. Hell, I'll make it easy for you since we know you're a special needs sort that takes the Struggle Bus.

Unless they are asylum seekers thst are going through the legal process ... that's until our fascist administration gained power.

That would be maybe hundreds of persons if you use the internationally accepted justification for asylum. Economic privation, crime, and gang violence where you are from is not justification for asylum.
Then there's the actual citizens who were rousted, assaulted, jailed and murdered by ICE because they're filling quotas, not doing g proper police work.
Give us some examples of this.

It's a meaningless claim as DHS, and magats label almost everyone terrorist.

Why Is DHS Labeling Protesters 'Domestic Terrorists'?

That's right folks! Since Trump retook office DHS has arrested 2150 known or suspected terrorists in the US and deported 2015 of them so far.

Illegal aliens, doing jobs Americans don't want done!
No one, and I mean NO ONE, should accept these completely unsupported claims by an agency and government whose go to move is to lie about this stuff

Magats demanding others be as stupid as them and just go with it when there are zero facts live in a world where they assume everyone is as dumb as magats.

No public, verifiable proof or granular data has been offered to the public to independently support the specific claim that 2,015 known or suspected terrorists (KSTs) were deported between January 20, 2025, and September 9, 2026.

The figure stems entirely from an official press release issued by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and highlighted in an exclusive Fox News report. [1] (https://www.dhs.gov/news/2026/09/10...or-suspected-terrorists-under-president-trump), [2] (https://noticias.foxnews.com/politi...e-than-2k-known-suspected-terrorists-deported)

The nature of the evidence and how these claims are structured include the following elements:

1. Source of the ClaimsThe numbers are based strictly on internal agency reporting from U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE). DHS Secretary Markwayne Mullin and acting ICE Director Todd Lyons stated that from January 20, 2025, to early September 2026, ICE arrested more than 2,150 KSTs and successfully deported 2,015 of them. During congressional testimony, ICE leadership asserted that these are "real removals" and not inflated statistics. [1] (https://www.facebook.com/bluematter...trump-took-office-dhs-told-/1537118391794073/), [2] (https://www.dhs.gov/news/2026/09/10...or-suspected-terrorists-under-president-trump)

2. Anecdotal Case Studies vs. Aggregate DataWhile DHS has not released a comprehensive, declassified list of all 2,015 individuals due to operational security and privacy laws, they have highlighted specific high-profile examples to validate their enforcement push. Cases cited in media reports include: [1] (https://noticias.foxnews.com/politi...k-known-suspected-terrorists-deported)Abraham Hermosillo Alvarez: A Mexican national arrested in June 2026, whom DHS described as the suspected ringleader of a mass-casualty plot targeting an event at the White House. [1] (https://noticias.foxnews.com/politi...2k-known-suspected-terrorists-deported)Felipe Linares De Oliveira Dell Aquilla: A Brazilian national arrested in North Carolina, identified by DHS as a former commander of two designated foreign terrorist organizations. [1] (https://noticias.foxnews.com/politi...than-2k-known-suspected-terrorists-deported)3. Context and Criticism of the DataHistorically, immigration and national security experts advise caution regarding aggregate "Known or Suspected Terrorist" (KST) data. Media organizations and watchdogs, such as NPR, have previously questioned the broader accuracy of DHS deportation metrics. [1] (https://www.npr.org/2025/11/09/nx-s...t-deportations-since-january-are-not-accurate), [2] (https://www.facebook.com/bluematter...trump-took-office-dhs-told-/1537118391794073/)

The "KST" designation relies on the U.S. government's terrorist watchlists, which can include individuals flagged for minor logistical associations, sharing a name with a suspect, or being wanted for non-terror offenses in their home countries.

Without a full line-by-line breakdown, it is impossible for outside organizations to verify how many of the 2,015 individuals were active threats versus individuals with administrative flags. [1] (https://noticias.foxnews.com/politi...e-than-2k-known-suspected-terrorists-deported)

🙄 you should take a refresher course in reading comprehension. Your site refers to "terrorist screening & encounter", and says they grilled individuals who were suspected of loose associations or potential knowledge of terrorist. THERE IS NO MENTION OF ARRESTS OR TRIALS OR JAILING.

Got that gumby?

And FYI; ICE IS NOT PART OF CBP. Look it up. Get educated man!

Suspected terrorists? IOW they pick up a foreign woman pushing a stroller and claim she was hiding a bomb in it?

No. That is not how the KST category works, and it is not a fair description of the 2,150 arrests / 2,015 removals DHS announced.

“Known or suspected terrorist” is a pre-existing U.S. government watchlist and database category (NCTC/TSC/CBP/ICE). A person lands in it because of:

  • a hit on the Terrorist Screening Dataset / watchlist,
  • documented membership or leadership in a designated Foreign Terrorist Organization,
  • intelligence linking them to a specific plot or terrorist group,
  • or prior terrorism-related identifiers already in IDENT/TECS and related systems.

It is not an officer on the street deciding “this woman with a stroller looks suspicious, let’s call her a terrorist.” ICE’s interior KST arrests are overwhelmingly people already flagged in those systems, often after a local booking, a prior encounter, or a targeted investigation. The examples DHS published with the 2,015 figure were not stroller cases: an alleged UFC-event plot ringleader, a Brazilian described as a former commander of two designated FTOs who was holding his wife hostage, and Tren de Aragua members who pleaded guilty in a double murder. Those are the kinds of cases the press release used to illustrate the category.

Could an agency ever over-label someone? Yes — watchlist errors and over-broad designations happen and have been litigated for years. That is a real, separate problem. It does not mean the announced total is “they grabbed a mom with a baby carriage and invented a bomb.” That is a caricature, not the operational definition or the examples DHS put forward.

If her only point is “don’t treat every KST as a convicted bomber,” that part is fair. KST ≠ completed terrorist attack in a U.S. courtroom. The stroller-and-hidden-bomb version is not.
