If trump is correct, and only he can solve the problems of America, we would have to be crazy not to appoint him absolute dictator for life. There is a big if in that sentence. We have to believe the crazy guy is correct, to want him to be dictator for life.

I think this question could be asked of anyone. If you KNEW or STRONGLY BELIEVED a person would make only the absolute best choices for your nation would you be ok with giving them basically unchecked power?
Personally I think the likelihood of someone being uncorrupted by power is basically nil, so I don't think I'd ever support something like that. There's always something to be said about personal freedom, even the freedom of the people you don't like. That's why I'm vehemently against people legislating with their religion, against white supremacy, etc.
But on the other hand, we see instances like this pandemic, where when you give people enough personal freedom to make the WRONG CHOICES it makes things worse for everyone. Same thing with obesity, smoking, and other health care issues. All these things contribute to an overloaded and overworked healthcare system which affects EVERYONE who gets sick of something they didn't CHOOSE to.
