No, they can't arrest us all. But it is better to be prepared for something that doesn't come than not prepared for something that does.
 
remember that the original Civil War began not by citizens opening fire on govt but by Abraham Lincoln sending armed troops into CSA waters in ships that he said were food and other supplies for US soldiers stuck in a fort now located in the CSA. And for the second time.

its entirely possible that the government will, once again, be the one initiating bloodshed.

I'd say that depends more on who is in power. If it's the left, don't expect the bulk of the military to go along with them.
