Even Bill Clinton says obamacare is a "crazy system".

Nonsense. Single Payer is a different animal that Bernie couldn't even accomplish in Vt. The reason the public option will have to be addressed, is due to the defunding of two pillars of ACA. The risk corridor program that funded startup non profit ins. companies for the first 3 years. Not giving them even half of the money promised has caused at least 12 companies to fold.

Couple that with the House refusing to fund the cost sharing program, and you have the exact problem that Republicans have been both predicting, and facilitating.

Meanwhile, we still manufacture obsolete war machinery that the Pentagon is begging to get rid of. This of course, in Red states.

We send billions to Israel, or Haiti, or Pakistan, or any other place in the world that has a catastrophe or strategic role to play in our MIC.

they get elected by claiming government doesn't work

then they prove it doesn't work by killing it from inside

curious as to what you consider being manufactured as "obsolete". Pakistan foreign aide is bribe money to the ISI.

Yes I realize a PO and SP are different animals. But Clinton was against both as "insulting the POTUS (Obama)"
or some such crap.
Moreover she said Bernie is too far left to effect any change during the primary (including PO) -
only she could do it thru her "experience"

So now who's pushing the PO? Moreover if you never TRY for SP you'll never get SP-
and with insurance companies in the picture the costs will never be "affordable" unless it's subsidized by the gov't.

We'll never get sp, or the po. So we'll just keep complaining.

Lawmakers scream about wasteful spending...as long as it doesn't affect jobs in their home states.

The Army, Navy, Air Force and Marine Corps have already suffered massive cuts to end-strength, modernization and readiness under sequestration that began in 2012. And just like in past hearings, the heads of each service predicted a grim outlook if more sequestration cuts come in 2016.

All the services agreed that they would not be able to continue to meet mandatory missions under the National Defense Strategy – win a major war, deter the threats of a second, major enemy and protect the homeland at the same time.

Lawmakers asked many questions, but no one offered a plan to prevent sequestration cuts from happening as it has in past years minus last year when the military received a reprieve from the across-the-board cuts.

Some Senators focused on finding ways to help the Pentagon run more efficiently.

do we need more tanks? Normally i'd agree not -but with Putin shoring up his modern weapons in Europe/Russia angainst NATO-
probably not. But we are in an arms race either way with Putin (Cold War2.0)

That article about the C-27's is a good find. We have AF pilots scrounging the Boneyard, and even museum pieces for parts!
Sequestration has done a number on readiness ( not even talking manpower), and we are buying useless cargo planes..unreal.

The house originally wanted to extend the subsidies further into the middle class. The final bill would've negotiated between the two and been more liberal. Then Massachusetts voters, in their infinite wisdom, decided to elect Scott Brown, and we were left with no other choice than the extremely conservative senate bill. Thanks, massholes.

All foreign aid is basically bribery. We give them money with the implicit understanding that if they don't please us, we'll reduce it.

If single payer is impossible tell me how dozens of other countries do it?

Simply not true, there are many of us ahead with it. I was unable to get insurance the two years before Obamacare passed, simply due to uncontrolled high cholesterol.

Uncontrolled high cholesterol?

What were you doing wrong?

And you are lying. You could get medical insurance. You would just pay higher premiums. Stop lying.

And maybe you should go listen to Bill Clintons words. Not much of a surrogate.

There is no spinning Clintons words. They will be in ads

Sequestration took food off of the tables of the hungry/elderly/veterans.

We have to stick to the defense cuts that Republicans were more than happy to approve. If we stop wasting money on private contractors, and obsolete weaponry, the military will be fine.

Our bigger problem is cyber security, and monitoring the actions of our home grown terrorists.
