Everyone understands that Socialism is not Communism, right?

Didn't you say there's greedy people?
Stop misquoting.
Nope. For example, were the children willing participants?
Yes. Children who work for pay are willing participants.
Nope. People pay into it (via taxes) so they're entitled to some of it.
Taxes don't matter.
All the roads are built by capitalists.
All the police equipment is built by capitalists.
All the firefighting equipment is built by capitalists.
Curious, how do you propose that they be helped under the unfettered Capitalism?
There is no such thing as 'unfettered capitalism'. There is just capitalism.
Poor people and children be damned.
Your attitube.

What misquote.

Yes deny them their childhood.

Do you pay taxes?

Name one Capitalist society that has existed in the modern world that does not have FORCED redistribution from citizens?
There hasn't been a purely Capitalist society in the modern world. On the other hand, no quasi-Capitalist nation forced redistribution of wealth from citizens.

In the US it was with FDR's election and the New Deal that Socialism started along with wealth confiscation (aka income tax).

Every city was built out of the wilderness. Only capitalism does that.

Socialism has been around before that in the United States. It goes back as far as Jackson, who stole land from the indians and forced them on to reservations.

Right so you admit when you talk about a "Capitalistic" society you are talking about something that is fantasty.

Ok so then name a "quasi-Capitalist nation" that was not based on force redistribution (ie taxes for military, roads, etc)??

That doesn't require pure Capitalism.

Jackson forcibly taking land from the Cherokee is not "Socialism." It is simple theft by force of government. Sort of like war but with fewer dead people.

Reducto ad absurdum argument on your part.
There is nothing absurd in pointing out the FACT you are trying to use a FANTASY structure you admit has NEVER existed as your point of comparison.

It is important to NOTE that what you are trying to use DOES NOT and HAS NOT EVER existed.

The US up to about 1935 for one.
Try again.

The United States collected taxes from its citizens long before 1935.

Early American Taxation (1789–1861)
  • Tariffs: The early government primarily funded itself through customs duties on imported foreign goods.
  • Excise Taxes: The government placed taxes on specific domestic items like whiskey, carriages, tobacco, and sugar.
  • Property Taxes: Direct taxes on property and slaves were occasionally levied to fund specific emergencies. [1, 2, 3, 4, 5]

The First Income Taxes (1861–1913)
  • Civil War Tax: President Lincoln signed the first federal income tax in 1861 to fund the Union military.
  • First Repeal: This wartime income tax was officially repealed in 1872 after the war ended.
  • Unconstitutional Ruling: Congress tried to bring back the income tax in 1894, but the Supreme Court struck it down as unconstitutional in 1895. [1, 2, 3, 4, 5]

The Modern Tax System (1913–Present)
  • 16th Amendment: Ratified in 1913, this amendment explicitly gave Congress the constitutional power to tax personal income.
  • Revenue Act of 1913: Congress immediately used this new power to introduce the modern, permanent federal income tax system. [1, 2, 3, 4]

Roads are built by capitalists, Kewpie.
Military weapons are built by capitalists, Kewpie.
Capitalism is not a society.
