Explain Trump

He has never told the truth in his life. He's a proven con man. He routinely stiffed contractors and other businesses on payments. He made fun of a disabled guy. He disparaged POW's and the military. He hates women. He swindled supporters out of hard-earned cash with a classic fine-print grift that automated contributions. He insulted the wives, fathers and other family of allies in his own party. He incited an insurrection with lies. He led the bogus and racist birther movement.

He's a pathetically insecure man, with no real vision or courage. We've never had someone with such a frail ego leading a national party.

Generally, when a candidate loses a Presidential election, their party moves on without looking back. That candidate is usually marginalized and forgotten.

But not Trump. As Graham stated, there really is no GOP without him anymore. The party is a cult of personality.

Why is that? Can anyone explain Trump?

Why? He is no longer President. How about you explain that failure Biden you elected? More of a current concern.

I love the job Biden is doing.

But this thread is about Trump - because he is still the undisputed head of the GOP, so much so that any disagreement w/ him gets people kicked out of party leadership.

No one ever said you were the sharpest knife on deck, HA! That aside, I do not think the GOP has a leader right now. But the Democrats do. Biden. Why is he fucking up so much?

Trump lead the reform of the R Party, a party that Before Trump was made up of lying cucks to the Left careerists who rarely/never stood up to fight for what they claimed to believe in, because they were shit people.

Any Questions?

I learned from the Clinton years that a Dem President can be doing an absolutely amazing, near-perfect job - and the right will still say he's a disaster.

Any minorities that voted for Trump are MAGA.

Anyone who advocates for America first, keeping jobs here and actual border security is MAGA. That it’s race based is a lie propagated by the left and the media.

Pretty sure most Americans are for America first. ;)

No worries.

Oh, and as for the "MAGA" movement - it's just a lot of folks who are afraid of the ever-nearing date when whites become a minority in America.

Last week, the 2020 census report was published, and the nation's changing racial composition paints a pessimistic portrait of the GOP's future. The analysis from the report predicts that the non-Hispanic white population will decline from 199 million to 179 million between now and 2060 as the non-white population increases. In 2020, voters of color voted overwhelmingly for Biden while a majority of white voters supported Trump. That means a lot less votes available for Republicans to reap and a lot more for Democrats to harvest.

You are a bold face liar.... sad you can't back up any claim above

He’s a product of his environment, an ill and detached mother and an overbearing narcissistic father. Nobody cuddled him when he was young.
That explains the psychosis. His father taught him that nothing matters more than money. trump knows that as long as he keeps raising money, the RNC will fear his ability to challenge them.

His own political career is over. Now he's just playing spoiler, like the last place team who steps up in the last week of the season in an effort to ruin the playoff hopes of a division leader.

thanks for your liberal opinion

Trump is the consummate cult leader. Explain Jim Jones, explain Mao, explain Hitler. Many people need a leader, they need to follow and if that leader can work on their fears and hatred, he's got them. That is how you explain Trump. His hatred of Obama, his hatred of Mexicans, his big lies, his racism, its all there but followers see him as a savior who shares their fears and hatred.

Lots below for the reader, for the cult followers, they will always follow.

"No one saw it coming,” but what they mean is that they consider the people who saw it coming to be no one. The category of “no one” includes the people smeared by Trump in his propaganda: immigrants, black Americans, Muslim Americans, Native Americans, Latino Americans, LGBT Americans, disabled Americans, and others long maligned and marginalized—groups for whom legally sanctioned American autocracy was not an unfathomable horror, but a personal backstory." 'Hiding in Plain Sight: The Invention of Donald Trump and the Erosion of America'

Gaging children, breaking up families, calling white supremist good people, grabbing women's privates, polluting the planet, lying, taking healthcare away from Americans. This calls for more than a week. Wat da ya think? Month? Kinda like Jesus or Buddha or Mohammad. What a man what a man.

A suggestion for plaque: "I will build a great, great wall on our southern border, and I will have Mexico pay for that wall. Mark my words."

"What is patriotism? Let us begin with what patriotism is not. It is not patriotic to dodge the draft and to mock war heroes and their families. It is not patriotic to discriminate against active-duty members of the armed forces in one's companies, or to campaign to keep disabled veterans away from one's property. It is not patriotic to compare one's search for sexual partners in New York with the military service in Vietnam that one has dodged. It is not patriotic to avoid paying taxes, especially when American working families do pay. It is not patriotic to ask those working, taxpaying American families to finance one's own presidential campaign, and then to spend their contributions in one's own companies. It is not patriotic to admire foreign dictators. It is not patriotic to cultivate a relationship with Muammar Gaddafi; or to say that Bashar al-Assad and Vladimir Putin are superior leaders. It is not patriotic to call upon Russia to intervene in an American presidential election. It is not patriotic to cite Russian propaganda at rallies." Timothy Snyder 'On Tyranny'

"The president [Trump] is a nationalist, which is not at all the same thing as a patriot. A nationalist encourages us to be our worst, and then tells us that we are the best. A nationalist, 'although endlessly brooding on power, victory, defeat, revenge,' wrote Orwell, tends to be 'uninterested in what happens in the real world.' Nationalism is relativist, since the only truth is the resentment we feel when we contemplate others. As the novelist Danilo Kiš put it, nationalism 'has no universal values, aesthetic or ethical.' A patriot, by contrast, wants the nation to live up to its ideals, which means asking us to be our best selves. A patriot must be concerned with the real world, which is the only place where his country can be loved and sustained. A patriot has universal values, standards by which he judges his nation, always wishing it well—and wishing that it would do better." Timothy Snyder 'On Tyranny'

"The great masses of the people will more easily fall victim to a big lie than to a small one. If you tell a big enough lie and tell it frequently enough, it will be believed. Make the lie big, make it simple, keep saying it, and eventually they will believe it. By the skillful and sustained use of propaganda, one can make a people see even heaven as hell or an extremely wretched life as paradise."
