I don't follow the farmer world but I've heard a few interviewed on NPR recently. Very small sample sized of course but these people interviewed were all Trump voters, who said the tariffs were hurting them but they were willing to accept the short term punishment for the long term gain. They also said they would only support these tariffs for so long as there is no long term gain if you lose your business.
