And ther lies the problem, because in order to distract from the shit show of the Trump regime, they summon the ghost of Fauci to roast. Problem is, there is enough fact based evidence to cook Fauci IF the hearings were done impartially, rationally and logically. Instead we get this hubris laden clown show. Because the Magat Congress KNOWS the pardon protects only the past.

That is why they are desperate for this circus Congress testimony in the PRESENT as they can then claim 'we do not think he was honest with Congress and that is a crime so we are referring it to the DoJ for prosecution', just as they did with Jack Smith even when Jim Jordan admitted what Jack said was accurate and true.

People who are not magats and smart enough to see what Trump's magat Congress are doing do not have to voluntarily play that game with them.

Not pleading the 5th and even saying the most innocuous thing would UNDENYABLE lead to the magat Congress saying 'we don't believe him... refer him to DoJ for prosecution'.

I would love a full Warren Type Commission or 9/11 type Commission to look into everything Covid. Not a Fauci focus but obviously he would be looked at as a central focus amongst many.

Central to that would be crafting a definition for 'Gain of Function' that could not be gamed and having Congress really chase that rabbit hole deep down into Classified Intelligence channels where i am sure the program exists and will ALWAYS exist and only will get properly outed with that type of Commission with real power to jail those who obfuscate.

You just cannot get that with this current Trump magat COngress and DoJ who are fully weaponized for one outcome and one outcome only which is DOJ investigations and charges to 'punish the Trump enemies list'.

There is no one, NO ONE, who believes this magat Congress or DoJ would put a truthful or fact finding that went against Trump's wishes and vindicated his enemy over burying it and spreading misinformation and lies. Even the magats know they would, even if they won't admit it.

Fauci has testified infront of Congress over 200 times and he knew upfront that Paul’s hearing was never about getting facts but rather for Paul to comb anything Fauci said for the slightest hint of error or inconsistency to refer him for prosecution to keep his vendetta alive

Could a State prosecute on this rehash of a rehash or a rehash of the same questions Fauci has been forced to defend against in his 20+ times called before COngress since Covid began? Yes. Is it likely that this proceeding provides anything towards that, the prior 20+ times did not? No.

What is CERTAIN is that Trump's weaponized DoJ (Fed's) would find any excuse, including truthful testimony, as they said Jack Smith did and then referred him for prosecution anyway, would. You can bet Trump's DoJ asked the COngress to get him and Jack Smith in just so they could get a legit predication to investigate and charge since they have been embarrassed and failing with so many grand juries rejecting their non existent cases.
