FDA approves chloroquine treatment for COVID

Look at this hypothetical question that Trumper asked me.

Earl, this is a rhetorical question, which is a question that is asked to make a point, and no answer to this question is expected. And also I add another sentence, to clarify the point that I was making.

Well, apart from the fact Trump brought it up, what’s the reason to ‘not give’ chloroquine to COVID patients when there is at least some reason to suspect it might be an effective treatment?

Hydroxychloroquine, which is already available commercially in the United States, is commonly used to treat malaria, lupus and rheumatoid arthritis. The drug also has been touted as a therapy for coronavirus by an unusual assortment of investors, TV correspondents and even some advisers to the White House — including some advocates who overstated their claims and credentials — and been championed by guests on Fox News.
However, a growing number of lupus and arthritis patients have complained that they've been unable to full their prescriptions amid ongoing shortages, and reports have emerged that some physicians are hoarding the drug for themselves. Federal officials also have privately complained that Trump's focus on anti-malaria drugs has distracted from efforts to investigate more promising therapies, and several scientists immediately panned the announcement.

You must not read the articles you post. That's some lazy trolling.:palm: When a solid answer to your own question was treated in your own source material, why ask it?

Left wing shitheads are really some detestable snakes. They cant stand for anything connected to Trump in any way to have any kind of success. Even a drug that can save peoples lives. Oh,.... most wont come right out and admit it,....that would actually take a little courage knowing how shameful it would look. Terribly misguided courage that is. What a miserable state of being they have allowed their self to become. This is what being consumed with hate looks like.

Well, it was Politico lol.

I’m not interested in their spin on the FDA approval of chloroquine.

You claimed to be a retired school teacher, someone with education, and I have to spell it out for you:

A hypothetical question is based on supposition, opinion, personal belief, or conjecture, and not facts, and is designed to corner someone on pure myth, so, I'm not biting on that bait.
I am a retired teacher... So I understand when some hesitate or refuse to answer a question....I'm sorry you felt threatened with "bait"...try to relax now=deep breaths...and we'll move on now;)

There are several drugs available for lupus not least corticosteroids and NSAIDs. Plaquetil is only used for mild forms of lupus and even then can take months to alleviate the symptoms. Plaquetil is rarely used to treat osteoarthritis. This is classic bullshit propaganda, it never seems to end with these arseholes. Up
