Federal deficit grows by 32% to $900B

What spending do you want to cut????

:lolup:Willful idiot thinks there is nothing to cut in a $3.6 trillion federal budget. :rofl2:

As much as I'd love to make this about me, it's not.

It's about your inability to admit that tax cuts are a fucking sham that you fell for because you're a sucker.

Yeah, only a sucker thinks individuals can spend money better than the government. Fvck, you must have loved the Soviet Union back in the day.

So take me through that math, because I don't think you've done that work. Because you're fat. And lazy. And entitled.

The current budget is about $4.1T, and we have a $900B deficit.

Social Security is about $1.25T
Medicare/Medicaid are $1.25T
Net interest on the debt is $315B
Defense is $717B

That comes to $3.5T in non-discretionary spending.

So that leaves just about $600B for all non-defense discretionary spending.

$900B deficit - $600B discretionary spending still leaves a deficit of $300B.

Your position is that all deficits are bad.

So even the math doesn't shake out for whatever fantasy you have. Revenues have to be raised. If deficits and debt are your concern, you'd be supporting tax increases because there's not enough spending to cut to balance the budget. I know because I just did the math for you.

Cut them niggas and wet backs off of welfare and put them in prison for free labor.......

No healthcare, no SS.....let the white poor join the military for minimum wage.

Make America Great Again......by bringing back slavery!.................that'll fix it!

It's always easy to complain when you hold no core beliefs. It's why trolling is so fun. You find any post of mine saying I support tariffs troll?

What spending do you want to cut????

I'm the second person who asked you in this thread, and I know I've asked you countless times before.

Even if you cut all discretionary spending, you are still running deficits bigger than the last one Obama left behind.

So what spending do you want to cut? You have $900B to find in the $4T budget. Go for it.

The current deficit is $790 billion and discretionary spending is $1.2 trillion.

I already gave you the big picture, it's called fiscal terrorism:

Manufacture deficits to use as an excuse to cut spending you're ideologically opposed to, but lack the courage, will, and support to repeal through conventional legislation.

We've been hearing that for years but so far we haven't seen any spending cuts.

but I thought Obamacare was going to lower health care costs

It did for some, and for others it reduced the rate at which their costs were growing, and then you repealed the mandate which caused insurance premiums to skyrocket. Insurance companies have already warned us of the highest premium increases since before the ACA this fall.

That ain't gonna play well with the electorate since it's you guys who repealed part of the ACA that caused these increases to happen.

You make the mistaken assumption that those that want to cut spending think we can eliminate the deficit in one year.

We start with the two largest expenses; entitlements and military. Any other talk isn't addressing the problem.

Ok, so how are you going to cut them? I don't understand. You just threw out two huge programs and didn't bother to go into detail as to how much, or what, you'd cut from them.

So you want to cut Medicare so that doctors get a lower reimbursement rate?

So you want to cut Social Security so that SS recipients get less?

So you want to cut the military. OK, so you want to close the 700+ bases we have worldwide?

This is what I mean when I say you're barely skin-deep. I think you just vomit forth platitudes, but haven't given any of it any serious thought. I can only speculate why.

We can also talk overspending/misspending on the local level.

No, let's talk about the federal deficit since you're the one who screeches about it only to suddenly want to change gears here (lol).

So you say we have to cut defense and entitlements...what from them we have to cut, you don't say.

Because you haven't given it any serious thought.

Because you're not a serious person.

:lolup:Willful moron still thinks tax cuts are what causes deficits. Yes, he really is THAT fucking retarded. :rofl2:

LIAR; Obamacare never lowered anything.

Edit: are you so programmed as a partisan that you can only think in terms of Obama and Trump and not look at the big picture?

Big picture:

You support tax cuts because they create deficits which you then use as an excuse to attack the social spending to which you're ideologically opposed, but lack the courage, will, and support to repeal through conventional legislation. So because your ideas and beliefs are so unpopular, you practice fiscal terrorism by deliberately wrecking the budget with tax cuts, then cry chicken little over the inevitable deficits your tax cuts caused. Then you say we have to cut spending or print money, but you don't mention the obvious third choice; raise revenues by repealing the tax cuts.
