Sigh...individuals are the government. It's not a separate entity. It's made up of us, with our votes. And if this selfish, childish, immature argument (that is completely unproven, by the way) the best you can do, you need to go back to the drawing board.

The government spends tax payer money,not their own individual money. If you don't recognize that you don't understand the basis of how our country works.

Fact is, you just haven't given this any thought. You reflexively want to cut spending, you even mentioned printing more money, but you never mention raising revenue by repealing tax cuts.

He got it in his head that deficits are bad, so what does he do? Supports tax cuts that increase deficits while saying we have to cut spending. Well, why not just cut the tax cuts since they're what's causing these deficits to grow?

Do you think the government is made up of people who aren't American citizens? Like, they're all goats in costume or something? It's us...we are the government. The government spends things that benefit whole groups of people. The fact that some of it doesn't benefit you has triggered this entitlement complex you think you have. Like somehow your piss-poor judgment is better than that of the entity that allocates and spends $4.1T taxpayer dollars a year to provide for the common defense and promote the general welfare.
I'd love it if individuals were smart enough about how they spend their money so that we could combat things like climate change, but too many people are myopically focused on just themselves, and lack any depth or forethought about the policies they stupidly support, like tax cuts.
What I don't understand is why raising revenue is a non-starter for you. Like, it's not even in the conversation. And this comes just after the $2T Russia Tax Cut you're passively defending here.
