I saw a documentary one time about these children going to college after being home schooled or going to private schools. It was heart breaking to see the struggle of these children. They struggled with what they were taught and what they were learning. There were some that were angry and rejecting everything they were taught by their parents. They felt everything was a lie.

As Evince said, it's a form of child abuse. I think that it will come back to bite the parents/church ppl in the ass when the kids grow up. There was a young woman in my Sociology class that insisted that evolution was false and that humans did not descend from apes "because then why are there still monkeys?" The instructor patiently explained the science. The student insisted that she was right and science was wrong. There was some eye-rolling but no one openly ridiculed her. She's lucky that was a sociology class and not a bio or other science class.
