Focus groups- Trump helped himself in final debate

And deciding upon what “snippet” to employ from over ninety minutes of “snippets” is cherry picking, pick what you want and leave the other, cherry-picking is a verb, an act of selecting some while ignoring the other
like I said you aren't completely wrong in context, but cherry pickin refers to data manipulation
Snippets aren't data
I have posted a zillion thread in which you dismiss it as cherry picking. I suggest you tighten up your vocabulary

I think Biden has benefitted in both debates from low expectations that conservatives set for him for months. "Dementia Joe" was a terrible strategy for the right; when he shows up coherent and fairly articulate, it's a huge win for him.

I think Trump benefitted from the low expectations HE set for himself w/ his unhinged first debate. Last night, he was able to control himself and come across as reasonable - which was a huge win for him.

Biden has things ridiculously easy.

Basically, come off as reasonably coherent lol. That’s not an exaggeration either. He checked that box last night. Biden doesn’t need to be a policy wonk—or even anything near it. His main policy prescription for COVID is masks and ‘listening to scientists’ as if that will make the virus go away.

Did they even touch on foreign policy? Or was that something else the debate commission wasn’t interested in it?

Do you really really believe that income from illegal influence peddling would show up on Biden’s tax return?
the money goes to H Biden. he had various holding companies (i.e.)
In the case of the Chinese energy company a "5 million loan" was described (Email) as not looking for a ROI
more of "introductions".
China is notorious for paying relatives of corrupt officials instead of direct payment

Biden blatantly lied to us about fracking. We've all seen the videos.

Sorry “chiwawa,” you are incorrect, facts don’t support your, nor Trump’s, fabrication

“Biden has repeatedly said he will not ban fracking; the policies he has released only call for no new fracking on federal lands. His policy also allows for existing fracking on federal lands to continue, and existing and new fracking on privately owned land to continue.“

Indeed.

The Biden crime family is not stupid.

I bet that illegal influence peddling money did not show up on Biden’s Federal Finance Report eirher...a federal crime.

Money laundering is a federal crime,

Biden is still claiming "da Russians" -it's preposterous -but the MS press gives him cover to utter such absurdities

^Like we’ve been saying for four years lol.

If Trump would just stay out of his own way. It’s exactly that easy but it’s not. The frustrating thing is he’s entirely capable of pulling off ‘presidential’.

Which, gives the lie to the Trump caricature [pathologic personality; utterly incapable of controlling himself yada yada yada].

THAT is Trump’s biggest obstacle. Not Biden, the Democrats or their media lap dogs.

Trump’s biggest obstacle—is Trump.

It's weird, because Trump's biggest strength—is Trump as well.

I just think there needs to be a healthy balance between the two. He can't be a complete asshole, but he can't also be "plain-jane"...

During a 2019 Democratic primary debate, Biden was asked whether there would be "any place for fossil fuels, including coal and fracking, in a Biden administration?"

Biden's response: "No, we would -- we would work it out. We would make sure it's eliminated and no more subsidies for either one of those, either -- any fossil fuel."

It is the goal; of all thinking people. We have to go to alternative energy as quickly as we can. 2035 is a date that cannot be defended or attacked. Who knows how long.

That is a fracking ban. :palm: And we all know the democrats will expand it, if they get in power. Joe even repeated AOC's claim that it is an existential threat that will reach a point of no return, in 8 years.

The expectations game for Biden was set by Fox, Trump & conservatives. I was saying for months what a mistake that was. Everyone on the right built it up so that all Biden had to do was show up and speak in understandable English, and he'd get the win.

I would disagree on COVID. You can make an argument that Trump has done good things in other areas, but there has been a leadership void on COVID. He has been all over the place. He is on tape admitting to downplaying the virus, which we all know he did. He didn't want more testing because it would show more cases and make things look bad. He supported shutting down one day and would tweet "LIBERATE MICHIGAN" the next.

The worst is that he would shame people for wearing masks and distancing, and then claim he supported both. Our President has actually CREATED opposition to these things, and debate on common sense precautions that could really help. That's inexcusable.

Biden isn't re-inventing the wheel on it, but Americans in general are starved for leadership during a crisis like this. A pandemic is stressful enough without having a "leader" who breaks out a comedy routine on it at every rally and does little else. Biden is laying out how he would lead on it, and what he would emphasize - and it's light years ahead of what Trump is doing.

Wearing masks and distancing is a great way to fight a pandemic. Until a vaccine arrives, it is the only tool we have. No rightys, listening to scientists is not a bad idea.It is a good idea. Listening to Trump is a bad idea. Biden will do what is required to defeat it. he will listen to epidemiologists. How stupid do you have to be to think that Is a bad idea?

No, Biden won’t reinvent the wheel on it lol.

In fact, nothing he would do would budge the needle on it. Just as nothing he would *have done* as ‘president Biden’ in February or March would have mattered in the following months and even up to now.

Because ‘president Biden’ would have been in the same spot as anyone else at the time. I posted a clip of Fauci’s comments over the past year on COVID on another thread. He’s been all over the lot and it was actually comical.

What voters ‘are starved for’ is normalcy and if they think Biden is the man to lead them they’re delusional. The left and their media lap dogs have carefully crafted their Trump Virus narrative but that narrative is proven to be a house of cards under even a cursory examination.
