FOX Down 27%, MSNBC up 16% and CNN up 22%

your thread is a bit confusing given that your link says......

n the month of March, Fox News topped primetime with 2.4 million viewers, followed by MSNBC with 1.8 million and CNN averaging 1.21 million. In the 25-54 demo, Fox News had 375,000, followed by CNN with 292,000 and MSNBC with 236,000.

In total day, Fox News was on top with 1.27 million, followed by MSNBC with 1.02 million and CNN with 812,000. In the 25-54 demo, Fox News was at 207,000, followed by CNN with 191,000 and MSNBC with 129,000.

the trend is the exact opposite of what you contend is true.....

the trend is the exact opposite of what you contend is true.....

"In total day, MSNBC was No. 1 with an average of 1.37 million viewers, up 25%, followed by CNN with 1.35 million (up 50%) and Fox News with 1.32 million (down 31%). CNN was on top in the 25-54 demo, averaging 349,000, up 38%, followed by Fox News with 221,000 (down 38%) and MSNBC with 217,000 (up 20%)."

Fox News topped primetime with 2.4 million viewers...In the 25-54 demo, Fox News had 375,000

375,000 is a tiny number, especially compared to 2.4 million. And I will tell you one thing, the rest of the 2.1 million not between 25 and 54 is not under 25. In fact, most are well over 70. Advertisers see little point in advertising to old conservatives, because they are set in their ways, on fixed/low/maintenance incomes, and going to die soon.

So basically, those statistics are 2 million 80 to 90 year old angry white men, and 375,000 Haitian caregivers who just happened to be in the room to change their adult diapers.

So. I had to see how true this was....

Fox News was the most-watched U.S. cable news outlet in March, beating rivals CNN and MSNBC and ending a slump during the beginning of this year’s busy news cycle—but all three networks’ ratings are lower than one year ago, when Covid-19 dominated the news.

Anyway. It seems to be a bit different than what you are saying here. You got a bit excited over old numbers and ignore the current events....

AND FOX IS STILL STOMPING THEIR ASSES...AS USUAL.

For the quarter as a whole, however, CNN and MSNBC both improved. MSNBC led total-day viewership with 1.38 million in Nielsen's "most current" ratings (a blend of delayed and same-day viewing) a 30 percent bump from last year. CNN was right behind at 1.35 million, up 63 percent year to year, while Fox News' 1.34 million viewers was off by 30 percent. In primetime, CNN (1.99 million viewers) and MSNBC (2.29 million) were up by 45 percent and 19 percent, respectively. While Fox News slid by 25 percent to 2.58 million viewers, it still maintained a decent lead in total viewers.

for a three month period......yet in the third month, indicating a direction, Fox topped both categories......their audience is growing......not declining...

irrelevant......the comparison is not between 2.4M and 375K........the comparison was between 2.4M, 1.8M and 1.21M......and then 375K, 292K and 236K......the only logical conclusion you can draw is that not many 25-54 year olds get their news from cable networks, but of people who watch cable news those of all ages prefer Fox news.......
