Yes, a wall might help a little. It is not "the solution," though, because many illegals come here by underground tunnels and most simply overstay their visas. There is no one single solution. Con artists pretend everything can be solved with one simple action.

We’ll settle for any action at this point lol.

A wall wouldn’t be perfect [nothing is] but it would spell the end of masses of immigrants coming across. In fact, once the wall is up the vast majority wouldn’t bother with the trip from Central America. It would cut down on human trafficking, cut down on drugs coming across [that it wouldn’t stop drugs in some absolute sense isn’t an argument] and ease the burden on border towns.

In short, there isn’t a good argument for not building one—we should already have one. And no, that Trump promised a wall isn’t an argument against building one.
