US oil is nothing compared to the power that OPEC weilds in the oil markets.

Any US production increase will result in a decrease of OPEC production (or further) in order to maintain the price.

Oil is traded on the commodities market. The Saudi oil minister said that speculation makes up over 20 percent of the price of a barrel of oil.

Nope. New drilling has been halted. That is not the same thing. The Keystone was halted. That was going to send filthy Canadian crude to the gulf refineries where it was going to be made into diesel and airplane fuel for Europe and Asia. It was never finished, therefore it could not cut supply.

Gas prices in 2 states now average over 4 dollars and headed for 5 bucks a gallon.

Many states are close to 4.00 a gallon .

As I sais months ago gas will average arounfd 4 bucks a gallon . looks like Im right again.
