WASHINGTON - On Oct. 6, 2026, the Acting Secretary of the Army Hon. Adam Telle directed the execution of Nidal Hasan by firing squad. The execution will take place at Fort Hood, Texas at 1 p.m. CST on Dec. 3, 2026.

The President has sole authority to approve the sentence of death for a military prisoner. On Oct. 2, 2026, President Donald J. Trump approved the death sentence in this case. The President acted following completion of a full appellate process which upheld the conviction and sentence to death.

In accordance with Army Regulation 190-55, the Secretary of the Army must select an execution date that falls within 60 to 150 days from the date the President approved the death sentence.

Very ISIS of us. The right has not evolved since medieval times. Can you imagine anyone enjoying that? Will Trump be selling souvenirs?
It won't be live streamed , just wishful thinking by the MAGAs

Vice President JD Vance said Friday that he wasn't sure whether there would be a livestream of Nidal Hasan's December execution, despite Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth's confirmation of that plan, adding that if it were to be livestreamed, "I'm not going to be watching it."

Asked by ABC News' Mary Bruce if he wants Hasan's execution to be live-streamed, Trump replied, "They're making a determination about that," but agreed either way he should be killed.

Joe Kent, a former senior Trump administration official who quit his post as director of the National Counterterrorism Center in March over the Iran war, warned that broadcasting Hasan's death could become a recruiting tool for terrorist groups.

The Judge today was mocking Hegseth....."That is clearly against the law....he has a whole stable of lawyers who work for him...he must not have bothered to pick up the phone".

Somethin like that.

John Curtis, a Republican senator from Utah, urged Hegseth to “reconsider”. He said: “Seneca warned that Rome’s bloody spectacles corrupted the people who watched them. A civilisation erodes when it cultivates an appetite for executions as a form of entertainment.

It absolutely will be a recruiting tool! The man is in a wheelchair! Not good optics.

This isn't a bunch of healthy slaves murdering each other for the mob's entertainment.

No one is gonna bleed out slowly despite never committing a crime.

It's an evil scumbag meeting a reasonable fate.

Back in the "Good old days" hangings were frequently publicly executed.

In fact, in most countries, executions were done in public up through at least the 19th century.
