"Getting along with Russia is a good thing - not a bad thing"

Trump went on TV today and said he trusts Putin more than our own intelligence agencies.

Trump is a traitor; anyone who defends him is a traitor.

We will define your legacy when this is all said and done; you will have no voice of your own.
3rd time now..FUCK OFF! go spread your warpig desires somewhere else.

I could not be happier with the results of the Helsinki summit. all the noise about election meddling ( which has been hashed and re-hashed into recycled griping about Russian troll farms) ignores the US history of meddling in elections.
Bill Clinton basically engineered the Yeltsin re-election..
( but our national Russiaphobia prefers to ignore that)

Every worse was our fomenting a revolution on Putin's doorstep ( Ukraine).
John McCain and Vicky Nuland were there to make sure the Kyiv factions protest about Putin and Yanukovych gas deal went sour- not because it didn't benefit the Ukraine, but solely because it was a Putin/Ukraine deal..our complete disregard for the welfare of Ukraine was captured in Nuland's remarks of "f**k the EU"..

In order to understand Putin now, you have to understand how NATO expansion poisoned US/west/Russian relations.
James Baker promised we would not expand more then a reunited Germany
( 1989).
But Bill Clinton listened to the Russiaphobes, and Europeans who wanted expansion for economic reasons. If we had let Ukraine into NATO -as was wanted by many -we'd be at war with Russia now.

Indeed everything in east-west deals goes back to a previous set of circumstances..in short our intelligence agencies are extremely biased against Russia -after all the CIA was founded to contain the USSR. we still use that as a base point

Trump deserves a lot of credit to forging a path towards peace.
Our relations with Russia are so bad they are a new cold war.
we have too many problems we could solve by working together to get swept up in mindless jingoism
(Syria/Ukraine/north korea / terrorism)

Ignore the deranged Trump haters like John Brennan who call today's summit "treasonous" There is a path to peace even if it's a bumpy ride compared to the smoother glide path to inevitable war.

As usual, the left wants war over dialogue.

it's not just the left..its the warpigs on the right. John Mccain /Graham to a lessor extent / Russiaphobia infects damn near them all.

It's so much easier to say "hey lets get tough" and let yourself slide into war then forge a path for peace.
All the other stuff aside, that is what Trump is trying to do.

Republicans like Rubio/McCain/Graham never stop pushing for war. any dealing with Russia has to be a win/lose proposition.. according to the war pigs there can be no peace without war- no winners without losers....

what has become grotesque is the Democrats who used to be the party of peace, are now more uber-hawks then Republicans!! Hillary/NATO destruction of Libya wrecked their minds.. sad!

Every single post, every single position, every single belief of yours will be qualified with "yeah, but you were duped by Russian propaganda".

It will qualify everything you say.

It will undermine every position you have.

It will define your legacy.

More likely people here will just ignore you and your comic book sense of geopolitical politics.

It all changes in November.

I should have added that...It's just hard to think of some of the hawks (supooooooooooosedly Republicans) actually wanting war so bad. LOL

Yep, and I don't know what Brennan is moaning about. He voted Communist Party in 1976.

Brennan is a deep state weasel..Russia is not Communist.

Brennan is calling for impeachment ( nevermind Trump has hit Russia hard with weapon sales and sanctions)
other asshats are calling for a military coup....for what?

The deep state is innate Russiaphobia -it's who they are. They do NOT want improvements to US /Russian relations
