Go Figure: Arrests, Prosecutions and Deportations Fuel Record Drop in Crime

That’s bullshit, DC crime, crime nearly everywhere, was already trending down

And had you been to DC you’d see what a joke it is, all the Guardsmen standing around tourist spots, not out in the neighborhoods, the high crime areas, the NorthEast, but looking good for the out of town visitors sightseeing
Poor anchovies, I have to kick myself because I am arguing with a person who followed the arrows on the supermarket floor and drove home with a mask on but......

Should we start chasing and everyone who runs a Stop sign next? Exceeds the speed limits?
No, but if someone is stopped for a traffic violation, and in the course of that traffic stop is found to be here illegally, they should be arrested for that and put into the pipeline for deportation. Just because they broke a minor law, doesn't change that they are here ILLEGALLY! Being in the US illegally is a crime. One of the penalties for it is deportation with no right to return to the US for 10 years on a first offense.

Grok, where would a maga be without their grok

It is based upon post pandemic statistics, what didn’t change coming out of Covid

Had you been to DC you’d see what a joke stationing Guard there, just like everything Trump, all show

And again, shows what a god job all those Democrats are doing in America’s cities

I’d be more interested in Federal authorities focusing on hard criminality than pursuing contributing immigrants who ran a stop sign

Thanks to Joe Biden and the Bipartisan Safer Communities Act and American Rescue Plan.

The vast majority of traditional criminal crimes are state related, not federal. Bank robbery is federal only--ONLY--because banks are federally insured so the loss involves the feds for example. Otherwise, it would be a state or local crime. Murder, rape, assault, unless on federal land, are state or local crimes. A crime like tax evasion or something fraud involving multi-state operations move into federal territory.

Immigration is a federal issue. Oddly, it is one of the only federal issues that states selectively refuse to involve themselves in. Could you imagine a state or city saying they won't respond to a bank robbery because that's the FBI's and fed's responsibility and that they won't even report when one occurs, the bank or feds have to do that themselves? That's what sanctuary laws are effectively doing.

Poor anchovies, many warrant arrests, drugs, and your favorite, illegal guns are found with simple traffic stops for minor offenses. You continually quacking on a subject you know little about shows your ignorance and frankly it's annoying.

I’m hoping they’ve done a course correction. All that no cash bail and the backlash against DAs not prosecuting violent criminals because they were black after the murder of George Floyd has hopefully awakened the insanity by dems’ soft on crime policies.
I’m neither on the Red or Blue team. I’m on the common sense team. And there seems to be not enough of us.
If you think dems are soft on crime, you have no common sense. Repugs are just liars.

Democrats are often accused of being “soft on crime,” but research on 400 U.S. cities found the political affiliation of mayors made little difference in crime rates and policing. Polling also shows many Democrats and most Americans see crime as a major problem in large cities, even while Republicans tend to be trusted more to reduce crime.

Overview of Democratic Policies on Crime

Democrats are frequently labeled as "soft on crime," particularly by Republican leaders. However, research indicates that the political affiliation of mayors has minimal impact on crime rates and policing practices in U.S. cities.

Key Findings from Research
Political Affiliation and Crime Rates: Studies involving data from 400 U.S. cities over nearly three decades show that the party affiliation of city leaders does not significantly affect crime rates.
Policing and Funding: Contrary to claims that Democrats are defunding police, research suggests that Democratic mayors do not drastically cut police budgets or significantly alter the racial composition of police forces compared to their Republican counterparts.

Public Perception and Trust
Voter Concerns: Many Americans, including Democrats, view crime as a serious issue in urban areas. Polls indicate that while voters recognize crime as a top concern, they often trust Republicans more to handle crime effectively.

Democratic Messaging: There is a perception among voters that Democrats have not adequately addressed crime, leading to a belief that they are less committed to public safety. This perception is compounded by the narrative pushed by Republicans.

Conclusion
While Democrats face accusations of being soft on crime, evidence suggests that their policies do not lead to higher crime rates compared to Republicans. However, public perception plays a significant role in how these policies are viewed, impacting voter trust and political outcomes.

...the economy got all fucked up and inflation hit a cumulative 21.7% for the four years Autopen was in office, the highest rate in over 50 years.

There, finished your statement for you.

Now the current cumulative inflation rate is approximately 3.74% for the trailing 12 months ending in September 2026. This reflects the overall increase in prices over that period.

That falls within the norm for the last 50+ years outside of Bribem. Typically, inflation has run between 2 and 3% per year. Right now, it's at about 3% with Trump. That's the high side of normal. Joke Bribem however hit almost 10% in one year and about 7 in another. Those were when his administration was spending like drunken queers on who-knows-what-the-fuck that saw zero ROI.

That ceased when it became obvious even to the idiots in his administration that they were going to crash the economy. Then it went back to about 3%.

Autopen and his minions tried to blame this on Trump and Chinese Disease and you, like many Leftists, gobble it up like a turd salad.

You're saying that now it's about 3% when it's closer to 4%, with no end in sight. And Biden didn't have his own special war to jack up the numbers.

As for covid, the entire world had inflation, not just the US... unless you're trying to say that Biden was responsible for that, too.

Nearly all countries experienced inflation during the COVID-19 pandemic, with many seeing their highest inflation rates in decades. In fact, in 37 out of 44 nations analyzed, the average annual inflation rate in early 2022 was at least twice what it was in early 2020.

The stats cant be believed because we know that in a lot of places people have mostly stopped reporting crimes, because power will do nothing.

Plus there is the constant lying from Power.

Correct . Cities are cesspools of crime. Always have been.
Polling also shows many Democrats

Cities are cesspools. Some aren’t though. I just added Bellevue, WA to my list of how some cities do it right. Bellingham , WA too. I’m sure they have democrat mayors. Seattle doesn’t. It’s a cesspool.

They should

Guaranteed, republican controlled cities and towns have far less violent crime.
And it’s not just mayors. It’s the voters that don’t tolerate it.
Conclusion
While Democrats face accusations of being soft on crime, evidence suggests that their policies do not lead to higher crime rates compared to Republicans.
So you’re saying Oklahoma City or Mesa, AZ have the same violent crime rate as New Orleans, Shitcago or Detroit. OK.
However, public perception plays a significant role in how these policies are viewed, impacting voter trust and political outcomes.
It should.
