What did people expect? Donald Trump is the presumptive leader of the Republican Party. And what does the Republican party always do, without fail - what is their number one priority? Cutting taxes for the wealth, for the affluent, for Fortune 500 corporations, and reducing environmental protections, and reducing regulatory oversight of Wall Street and our corporate overlords.

I actually don't think angry white people voted for Trump because they imagined a fat ass billionaire was looking out for the "working guy". That is a nice little hypothesis, a contrived sociological construct, that has little basis in evidence. Almost all the polling that has been done shows that racial resentment, sexism, xenophobia, and an ambient sense of anxiety is what drove angry whites to vote for Dump. In statistical terms, the relationship between Trump on the one hand, and racism/sexism on the other hand is very nearly R squared = 1.0!

My thing is, he IS implementing the republican/conservative agenda. So when people say he's not a "republican" or a real "conservative", then what is he?

IMO, had this been Romney he would be doing the same thing, its the republican agenda. Some conservatives may not like the way dump presents it's issues, but they are republican issues none the less.

Number 1, the taxes only go up if the tax cuts aren't renewed by takers like yourself. so you are criticizing not giving the middle class a tax break in the future because you plan to take it away. That makes sense??

Second, I invented the term taker. You always try to do this, TAKE my terms and put them into your worldview. A taker is someone that has a debt to society. Someone that takes more out of the system than they put in. I do not do this. Thus I am not a taker.

Oh please makers and takers is phrase right out of Atlas Shrugged. Who are you kidding? That’s what I mean about you being ignorant of economics and ecology cause in both we all consume more that we produce.

So again if your a producer what have you produced? I have my name on several patents for products in which millions of pounds were produced and sold profitably, which is just one example. I’ve also been paying Federal Income taxes for almost 40 years.

So what have you produced? What you contributed?

I notice you ignored my tax question about how your ilk complain about the middle class being screwed while at the same time you'll be the ones to not renew the taxes in the future.

One does not have to "produce" anything as long as they maintain equilibrium. Being a taker means you are in the red. If you are neutral, one is not a taker.

But to answer your question, I pay taxes dipshit, that's what I produce.

Oh please. That’s just being dismissive of hard facts. I come from a rural background and I’m a non ideological moderate Democrat (and former card carrying Republican of 24 years). Now granted to a right wing ideologue that makes me a communist but as person who has large numbers of friends and family members who are rural, small town white working class I know why they support Trump because they constantly tell what they think about him and I’m respectful enough to keep my mouth shut and listen.

So I am well aware of their fears, insecurities and dislikes to observe the masterful manner in which Trump has manipulated racial resentments to gain the support of many.

That’s hardly disinformation but an observable fact to anyone who is not an ideologue and probably many of them too.

I mean actually producing something doesn’t count but simply paying taxes does? What the hell kind of logic is that.

The truth is society provides you more advantages in your lifetime then you or anyone could pay back. To top that off what you produce or accomplish is done standing on their shoulders.

Therefore you haven’t earned the privilege to call anyone a “taker” unless it’s a truly worthless human being like Watermark or Legion Troll.
