Nike was trading around $78/share when this boycott was announced.

It was over $100 when the market closed yesterday.

Excellent! There have been several dire toxic predictions of imminent doom that never came true. Kap is one. So is the Red Hen. And Jesse Smollett's supposedly going back to his Empire role instead of dying in disgrace in the gutter. lol

You've said your husband is a big player in the stock market. Here's an inside trade tip for him. Nike sales are taking a huge tumble, Why you ask? Nike sponsors USC. USC kept Clay Helton as our head coach. Therefore until we fire Helton I am no longer purchasing any USC clothing/items of any sort. As a result Nike sales will suffer greatly (and yes for better and worse I spend that much money on Nike).

I do appreciate the Jesse Smollett reference. I think Chappelle is hilarious. Not all loved his Sticks and Stones but many did. You made me go back and watch his Jussie rif. Funny as hell.

there are literally MILLIONS of morons around the globe who would buy a product simply because of the person selling them, no matter the politics. Add to that the endless circle of hatred between left and right, and it perfectly explains how kaepernicks merchandise sold out, or how Barack Obama made over 10 million selling a book about stupid shit..............

I am not boycotting Nike. A boycott suggests an end-date, and I plan to #NeverAgain purchase Nike products.
 
The long term harm Kaperdink has done to NIKE will only be realized in the future. Right now they are making a living on do nothings have nothings trying to make a statement along side of him.

That will wear thin and the people with money will continue to boycott them

Nike stock has hit record highs, and Kapernicks shoes sold out in a day or two. Yup, he really has done a lot of damage to that company.

Probably not. But then again, various activist athletes only really care about money. LeBron shamefully caved to China on Hong Kong, for example.

The only causes these jokers support are the easy ones, like BLM or gay rights or the supposed gender pay gap (see Megan Rapinoe). They won't support causes that affect the bottom line of the sport in any foreign market.
