I see. So although Harley Davidson announced this planned move in 2015 they really did so because they knew a tax cut was coming in 2017. I mean it makes total sense. Businesses always know these things years before anyone else.

Oh, so NOW they announced the plant closing in 2015?

If we keep arguing about this long enough, I imagine you'll be claiming the closing announcement was made sometime near the end of the 20th century.

Harley has planned on consolidating production at the Kansas City plant since 2015, before Trump was even in office; when the company made the announcement, it said that it was due to slowing motorcycle sales.

Harley said the employees were notified in November 2015 that it planned to consolidate the production of Softail cruiser motorcycles at its Kansas City plant starting with the 2018 model year.

So the plan in 2015 was to CONSOLIDATE production in KC, NOT shut down the KC plant and move production overseas.
