Not really, DTE hs to go through a process to raise prices. Then a commission has to approve it. A couple of weeks ago, they got a raise approved and the next day, they applied for another one. That has not been approved.

In my neck of the woods, it is now $4.299/gallon at the station that I monitor (it just jumped another 40 cents yesterday). Woodmans is selling it for $3.999/gallon.

Prices are indeed getting quite high now... Under the Autopen, they maxed out right around $5/gallon (a tad under). Still a bit to go yet until that point is reached.

You are denying recorded history. Gas prices (if you make a 'trend line') steadily increased from early 2021 until early 2024. Prices of other goods essentially doubled at that time (via the Inflation Production Act, passed by Democrats).
