Hitler was on the Right side of the spectrum. . .

Did Lenin et al, and Russian communists, hunt down and eliminate the Imperial Russian household? Opposing political parties were banned and their membership were either shot or sent to labor camps. This included the Mensheviks, Trotskyites, Anarchists, and Socialist Revolutionaries, among others. All were factions on the political Left, but that didn't stop the Communists from rounding them up and getting rid of them.

Stalin sent assassins to Mexico to kill Trotsky when he fled the country. That's how far the Communists went to eliminating their competition.
Lenin not so much but other revolutionaries did adopt ruthless authoritarian tactics, worst of all Stalin who Lenin had wanted kicked out of the party but then Lenin got sick and died and that was that. Communism is branded Leftist for its economic ideological framework which in practice became mostly a myth. Marx himself had been an idealist who believed in political freedom. Whatever the Russians who assumed power under his name believed they put in practice its reverse. The economic theory was Leftist because it featured spreading national wealth. As a working political ideology it became an abomination as recognized by Stalin's immediate successors.

The American right's traditional argument is something like:

Government has enumerated powers; the individual retains rights government cannot legitimately violate.

Hitler's governing principle was essentially the inverse:

Individual interests and rights are subordinate to the interests of the racial-national community as determined by the state.

That is an enormous philosophical divide. Hitler would of been on the left in America

I used AI, it would have taken me an hour to put it as well as Claud did. . .

Where did Hitler fit in

Firmly on the far right, in the standard political-science and historical classification — though it's worth explaining why, since the "National Socialist" name trips people up.

The core markers historians and political scientists use to place a movement on the spectrum are things like: does it treat human worth as fixed by group identity (race, nation, "blood") or does it treat people as fundamentally equal; is it revolutionary against the existing order or does it seek to restore/purify a mythologized past; does it ally with traditional elites (industrialists, military, church) against organized labor, or the reverse. Nazism scores unambiguously on the far-right side of every one of those axes: it was built on racial hierarchy and biological determinism, it was explicitly counter-revolutionary against Bolshevism and Marxism (Hitler's entire early political identity was formed as an anti-communist street-fighting movement), it crushed independent trade unions and folded them into a state-controlled labor front, and it entered power in 1933 through an alliance with conservative elites — industrialists, the army, the old aristocracy — who saw it as a bulwark against the socialist and communist left, not as a fellow-traveler of the left.
Hitler was the leader of the National SOCIALIST Party.

And Lenin instituted the NEP which stalin did away with

Leftist politics can be broadly characterized by three characteristics:

Authoritarian or dictatorial government and leadership

Putting the state and society ahead of the individual

Using a command economy in one version or another.

No political scientist would agree. Nor do I agree.

You mean those can be your personal characteristics for it. That's fine.

The word "left" is not for you to decide. That is solipsism.
I can apply it to a measurable system. Neither you, nor some academic, have any claim to the use of Left and Right in labeling political systems.

My system is internally coherent and applied equally to all political systems in a measurable way.

Fascism. Storm troopers. And genocide. Militarism, warfare.
Fascism is a word the way you've used it. It has no empirical or identifiable qualities.

Storm troopers?

I don't think so.

Militarism? What do you call China's current massive military buildup and expansionist rhetoric? What about N. Korea? Nicaragua under the Sandinista? Militarism is a common occurrence in Leftist governments.

Warfare? That too is common in Leftist governments. N. Korea invaded S. Korea. N. Vietnam invaded S. Vietnam. Cuba shipped mercenaries all over the world. The Soviet Union invaded China / Manchukuo, Finland, Romania, and Poland, among other countries.
