Judge Timothy Petts, having heard the prosecution opening at a previous hearing, summarised the offences - namely sending communication threatening death or serious harm, and two counts of possession of a knife blade/sharp pointed article in a public place - and circumstances giving rise to the case.
He explained that in March last year, Mottershead place late night phone calls to the guardroom at RAF Valley in Anglesey.
During those calls, he shared "rambling conspiracy theories" regarding what he saw as the threat of a forthcoming "future world war and uprising in the UK."
He also threatened to go to RAF Valley and stab a guard on duty at the main gate, claiming his aim was to be arrested or shot 'so that people would have to listen to him'.
