Where's Biden? He's hidin'! As usual, Biden is nowhere to be found dealing with the federal side of a multistate disaster that wreaked havoc across the Eastern US. As usual, the MSM is either running cover for him by not mentioning his absence, or ignoring his feckless handling of this disaster to date.
 
I just got up but have already seen Biden mocked on Twitter for demanding that insurance companies honor their commitments.

Given flooding is the main insurance claim that's coming, that'd be FEMA--a federal agency--that's responsible for ALL of the flooding claims since FEMA is the sole US flood insurance underwriter today. That means the federal government is on the hook for billions in flood damage. If FEMA follows its usual pattern they'll be slow to pay out and inconsistent on honoring claims. That will result, as usual, in lots of people being pissed off at the government.

It looks to me that most of the flooding is in areas that would not have flood insurance. They also would not have private policies that cover floods. The victims will be expecting federal bail outs.

There are no "private policies" for flood insurance. Other big insurers are attaching a flood insurance rider to such policies but the underwriter is FEMA. That is, a company like say State Farm sells you an homeowner's insurance policy and you add flood insurance. The flood insurance is underwritten--will be paid out on--by FEMA not State Farm, they are just the middleman.

Our government has done an excellent job of dealing with the disaster. We are lucky to have such a large, fine, capable and responsive government.

Already addressed the situation multiple of times, allocated additional funding, and has mobilized a Federal relief effort, guess the Fox bubble missed that, what a surprise
